Back to using Kaspersky IS 2012 again. There's no messing around with exclusions due to the lack of false positives which is great. Interface is simple and easy to use and look at. Memory usage is fairly low/average which is always a plus.

There is no PURE 2012, still PURE R2 which is based on KIS 2010

Do Saferun and Safesurf only work on 32 bit systems? From my sig you can see that I have a 64 bit.

Partly. The Safe-Desktop Feature which virtualizes your whole desktop only works on x86, nevertheless you can start single applications via right-click in Safe-Run on x64 too.

First of all let me thank you for your answers. Now I have a new question. I assume based on the quoted answer above that I wouldn't reap the full benefit of the components ( SafeRun, SafeSurf) if I got the suite as opposed to the Av correct?

Does the Sandbox feature for web surfing work on 64 bit? I asked previously but I'm not sure I got a complete answer to that part.

Remember that there are certain limitations, ie, does not offer the same level of protection for x86 systems.

There are limitations with 64 bit not encountered by 32 bit systems. Ok understood.

Just got KIS IS 2012 and so far I love it. It's running terrific on my systems and seems surprisingly light on resources. I wasn't expecting that having just come from using Vipre. I think this version is going to be a winner.

But Sjoeji, you have not shown the best bit in terms of this skin, ie, the flip side.;)

Personally, I love it and think that it is a Pipkin masterpiece.

I am running it on Windows 7 x64 OS, and I have only had it loaded the past week, but it is running terrific. Not a single issue.

Keep in mind I haven't had the time to discover all the features yet as there are alot of settings and features within the suite. But all the baic stuff I have configured and tried is working great. Also I was pleasantly surprised on just how light this suite runs. I cam from Vipre sso I was expecting it to be alot heavier, but it isn't. In fact the web browsing is now noticeably snappier than before.

    Im really satisfied so far.
