But then you haven't tried WSA ;) Same lightness as ESET provides.

I have not come across an AV 'lighter' than Eset NOD32.

I guess I should have said 'traditional' i.e. not purely cloud based.

    here you go ;)
The Safezone makes your browsing session invisible to the rest of your pc so no keylogger or other threats can get your sensitive information even if the pc is infected...
The SafeZone includes some other security features in addition to the basic "inside out" sandbox, such as vpn service, secure DNS etc.

Thank for the link. I had no much time to searching KB or Avast forum, just wanna set and forget :)

left default setting is good enough, like I did in NIS ?:doubt:
any compatibility issue between SafeZone and Keyscrambler ?

    welcome :)

    totally :)

absolutely not because it does not load in safezone. keyscrambler does not detect safezone so does not work in it. as I said safezone is an 'inside out' sandbox and is invisible to the rest of the pc

    the last few hours:

    - removed Windows 7 Firewall Control.
i did not like the way you have to exit and restart the app for the changes to take effect. it can get quite troublesome for some install, even with the firewall set to "Allow All".

that leaves Windows 7 own firewall for the moment.
i'm gonna look into Look'n'Stop Firewall to see if i like it...

    - removed Chrome.
i feel both Chrome and IE9 are equal in speed and security.
and since i like to use/install as few apps as possible Chrome seemed like a good place to 'trim off some fat'. ;)

Shook off PC Tools Firewall Plus and Buffer Zone going back to Comodo Firewall with Defense + Still using Security Essentials, trying to decide between Mamutu and Zemana Anti-Keylogger have free copies of each. Nothing wrong with PC Tools Firewall or Buffer Zone, although some issues exist with Buffer Zone and your bookmarks in Firefox, as long as you are inside the zone your bookmarks are fine step outside you lose them, reenter the zone your bookmarks return. :argh:

i'm trying Look 'n' Stop Firewall.

i like the way it pauses the program that's trying to connect while you make your decision.
    very nice!
looks more fun to use than the bloody Windows 7 own firewall. :p

Wow, that's really light. I wish I could be so brave :)
I will try and remove MD and run only SBIE + UAC + EMET. Will see how that will go...

    If XP, then go with:

    -LUA
    -DEP
    -SRP
    -disable all unneeded services.
    -Firefox (noscript, torbutton, adblock plus)

    not infected so far
    brave enough ? :)
