    Hey All,

I'm having strange problems and I have isolated the trouble down to the application protocol content filtering where it will not finish loading webpages on certain sites from time to time. Especially loading the configuration page for my router. When the application protocol content filtering is disabled, everything is ok.

    Windows 7 x64 SP1
    Intel Q9400
    8GB RAM
    Code:
    Virus signature database: 6477 (20110919)
    Update module: 1036B (20110617)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1321B (20110914)
    Advanced heuristics module: 1118 (20110419)
    Archive support module: 1136 (20110818)
    Cleaner module: 1051 (20110420)
    Anti-Stealth support module: 1027P (20110916)
    ESET SysInspector module: 1221B (20110623)
    Self-defense support module: 1018 (20100812)
    Real-time file system protection module: 1005B (20110311)
    Translation support module: 1028B (20110907)
    HIPS support module: 1027P (20110914)
    Internet protection module: 1022 (20110811)
    Database module: 1016 (20110726)
    Website: tumblr.com
    Reproducibility: frequent
    Steps to reproduce:
    * Sign up with a tumblr account
    * Go into the preferences and enable endless scrolling
    * Search for content
    * Keep scrolling down down down.

    Problem:
Eventually, you'll get stuck on a section of the website where part of the content has loaded and will go no further. At that point you have to refresh the website and hope that you can go past that section.

Pagifying the results will make the problem rarely come up, but it still occurs from time to time.

    Website: dd-wrt.com
    Reproducability: frequent
    Steps to reproduce:
    * On the website, Click the Support link
    * On the next page, click on Other Downloads
    * The website will bring a web navigation of an ftp site
    * Click around in the trees of the ftp site. After the 3rd or 4th tree in, the screen fails to refresh and go any further
    * Reloading the website brings you back to the top level of the ftp site, but if you retrace your steps, you are typically able to go past the section you are stuck on.

    Router: Linksys WRT610N
    Firmware: dd-wrt
    Reproducability: always
    Steps to reproduce:
    * This is the worst one yet. You are lucky for the webpage to show up at all. You have to stop and press reload very frequently to navigate around on the router configuration screen. Most of the time you just get nothing but a white screen

All problematic sites go away as soon as the application protocol content filtering is disabled, or in case of the router, white listed. These are just some of the sites I have noticed the problem on. If there are any more, I'll list them below, but I'm rarely on my desktop computer and favour my MacBook Pro most times.

edit: the paste results of the eset about page was creating avatars, I placed them in a code box.

    Hello,

Could you tell us a little more about your networking environment (OS on affected workstation, type of network interfaces involved, etc.)?

    Regards,

Please check it with the most current Internet protection module 1024. It will be downloaded after enabling pre-release updates.

There can be still some problems with chunk encoding on certain sites. A newer Internet protection module 1025 will be available on pre-release servers shortly which should definitely solve all similar issues.

I'm at work right now, but I did have similar issues yesterday. I didn't verify the internet protection module at the time, even though I do enable pre-release updates. I'll let you know when I get home later tonight.

Thanks for your response to this issue guys. :)

    Report card: 50%

Tumblr: FIXED! (I am SOOOOO happy about this one. It's the one I care about the most)
dd-wrt.com: FIXED! Navigiating the FTP seems to be working completly
keek.com: Still having random issues loading some pages. Such as loading mail, or attempting to record a video. Refreshing the page helps
dd-wrt router firmware: still a major issue for me where pages will not load properly. Not a deal breaker for me since I know how to whitelist the IP address and everything works fine. Also, I assume if you hacked your router with this firmware, you should also know how to whitelist. But it would be nice to have fixed just in case someone else with a non-hacked firmware is having problems loading their home network configuration.

Thank you so much for your efforts btw. This is why I always recommend ESET. :) If there is anything else you would like to know about my computer setup, just ask.

    Windows 7 x64 SP1
    Intel Q9400 (Core 2 Quad @ 2.66GHz)
    8GB RAM
    Motherboard: ASUS P5N-T Deluxe
OS is on a RAID 0, 2 x 80GB 10k RPM Raptor drives. Also have 2 other drives for data/backups
Browser: Firefox nightly build. (10.0a1 2011-09-29)
