If I hadn't just gotten Kaspersky, I'd be interested. I wonder if the free for a year version 8 mentioned in a thread here can be upgraded to the new v9?

Hmm not sure they should state "windows 8 ready" windows 8 isnt even beta yet and alot will change between now and rtm.
other than that the improvements do sound good.
hoping someone will post some screenshots in the ongoing thread.

If I'm understanding correctly, then the key you receive from https://www.norman.com/support/auth should also activate v9?

Saw this similar promo : -http://www.laguidainformatica.it/2011/09/27/norman-security-suite-9-gratis-per-un-anno/-

This version of windows 8 is called Developers Preview. This means they will not change any major thing like system core.

Just tried to install it on Windows 8 developers preview. Installed OK but service didn't start correctly. It was showing error and asked me to restart constantly. I did system restore.

That's because however ready Norman may or may not be for W8, W8 is not yet prepared to allow any unauthorised service to run.
