    hey pedro, i uninstalled the beta, but it still remains in my control panel, when I try to install it again, it shows error messages, I try your cloud uninstall tool, but it ruined my start up and automatically made a system restore.

    Yes the uninstall tool is not recommended for the beta. IIRC its explained in the release notes.

    Can you please post the details over at the beta sub-forum at www.cloudantivirus.com/forum so the guys from our QA team can try to reproduce it?

    In the recycle bin settings I think it says it will hold a file for 30 seconds while results are returned from the cloud. What happens to the file if a detection is made while offline?

    While offline this setting doesn't apply. While offline files being executed are checked against offline cache, local heuristics, behavioural blocking and behavioural analysis (Pro).

    I have to say that I'm quite impressed with this package.
    I've tested nearly every AV on the go at some point, rather got into the habit of being an habitual installer/uninstaller almost every other day.
    Of late I've been using Avira (free) and been happy but thought I'd give this a whirl after the recent av-comparatives result.

    Panda has been, in my eyes anyway, one of those packages that I always knew about but never took seriously, kinda like Comodo.
    I've ran this now for about a week, netbook flying, never really thought Avira affected it much but I can see quite a bit of difference with browsing and startup but that may be just my PC.

    Full system scan not bad at all, I don't sit and watch my full scans, although to read the whiners and moaners on here sometimes I guess they do.
    I tend to go off and do something else and return periodically or run it overnight.

    I like the fact that there wasn't the initial half a gig of signatures to download after install (joke before the trolls start) and regular updates and/or nag screens to upgrade (yes I know I can and I had).
    Will continue to run it for time being but as it stands well impressed.
    Any chance of including some kind of scheduler, would be a benefit I'm sure?

    ;0)

    URL filtering blocking access to Yahoo email account. Posted problem on Panda
    forum. No response after eight hours. I'd like to be able to run an AV without spending time troubleshooting it.

    Kind of ironic, given that Panda wants to change your search provider to Yahoo if your not watching the install.

    Tried PM'ing you the fix for this known issue, but it seems you're not accepting PMs or I'm very short on coffee today.

    Hi pbust,
    I sent you a PM recently as well and received no reply, but I have enabled PMs in my account for all users.

    After seeing how well PCAV free performed on AV-Test, where it also had no false-positives (which used to be one of its downsides), I think I will try it on another computer in my house. However, I want to know how good its offline protection is, since malware can affect an Internet connection, it seems like it would be not nearly as effective without the Internet.

    I was wondering how long the info in the events log is retained, or do I have to clear it myself after a while through advanced settings?

    After clearing the event report, should the following items still remain?

    1. Report -> Viruses (1) (Eicar)
    2. Status -> Last detection: eicar.com
    Panda Free 1.5.1

    @The Hammer - As far as I know, there is no other way to clear the events log.

    @Thankful - Yes.

    I think the timer needs to be changed to a 0:00:00 format. Having one zero for the minutes section just doesn't look right.

    It maintains a cache of signatures for the latest active threats for offline protection. One of the perks Panda has over Prevx though the Webroot Beta is now including this from what I hear...:cool:

    I currently got Panda Cloud Pro
    and am wondering will it be enough for panda to handle the behaviour analysis and to go for a firewall only option like OA Free or to have Panda with a Firewall with HIPS like Comodo?
