I know, right. I feel so comfortable with my setup right now, really no reason to change anything, other than the fact that I just want to.

Recently i had a nasty virus on my desktop and i had to format, so i've tightened up my security a bit.
So i've setup what it seems to be a smart security setup.

    Running on Win7 x64

    Realtime:
ESET Smart Security 5 (Firewall, Parental Control and HIPS Disabled. This way i also get AntiSPAM for my corporate mail)
Comodo Firewall with D+ 5.8 Beta (Tightened. Great Firewall and HIPS)
SpyShelter Premium (System Protection Disabled. Comodo's HIPS seems better)
    EMET (For internet apps)
    FakeDaemon (Just because)
    PeerBlock

    On demand:
    HitMan Pro
    Malicious Software Removal
SuMo Updater Lite (to keep my software updated. The full version seems to install spyware)

I always have a bunch of up-to-date security software around, just in case.
I still miss PE Guard. I like to click on stuff... :)

The second scan should finish even faster, if this was your first scan :)

I still haven't bothered putting anything on Windows 8.

    When sandboxie updates I might.

As far as I know yes, just put compatibily mode win7 on a few of them. The only thing I miss is a true sandbox...
If an app works it works...I mean if there are problems, either it won't install or it won't run for the majority...

Removed Vipre AV+AS as I said. The main reason is because it is NOT the fastest, lightest, "speed matter" thing in AV world.
There are Immunet, Panda Cloud, Webroot/Prevx, NOD32 etc. which fall at above categories but not Vipre i.e. not for me.

still using Sandboxie paid only for my 3rd party security :)

an antivirus for me is like a clothing... a heavy clothing.... and a transparent one. :D

Had the same experience here a few months ago. Vipre after a period of time would slow things way down and I noticed the SBAMSVC exe was wound up eating memory. And my setup is fairly similar to yours with Look N Stop and Ad Muncher.

Ditched Norton and have gone back to avast! Free. With MBAM PRO running, I don't feel I need a paid antivirus any more.

unless Avast Avira AVG stop delivering free Antivirus this is a covered issue. No one needs a paid antiviurs. We just want one
