    Hi,

Just a small basic query, that if I create system restore points with returnil can I see them in the windows restore point section so that I can boot from windows installation disk and can restore to some previous date in case the system becomes unbootable and im unable to restore it from within windows / returnil software.

    Hello prerakg,
RSS does not create the snapshots with the current provider which relies on the underlying Windows Volume Shadow Copy service. It monitors your system for their creation however, which includes replication (file backups), Windows Restore Points, and Windows/other system backups.

If you have your system configured to create and maintain restore Points, those RPs should be available through a recovery console as expected.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for the assist.

Basically my query was that in case my system becomes unbootable, is there any way i can use returnil system restore to restore the system to last working condition.

When the system is not bootable how will I access the application to restore to any earlier point.

If Windows does not boot, then you would not have access to the RSS GUI, but any current Windows Restore Points should be available through the Windows recovery option via disk or other methods such as linux boot approach.

This is dependent on what caused the system to become non-bootable and whether or not the incident also caused damage to the RP files.
