Time elapsed after the reboot in which you get this low RAM usage or this happens frequently?

After restarting the ram consumption remains stable in these values. Unless you use the program to scan. After its use to stabilize the ram back again.

Why are you saying that? I tried the RC on a previous windows installation, same thing, now I have a fresh installed Windows 7 64Bit, had NIS 2012 installed, unistalled with Revo Uninstaller PRO and then run Norton Uninstall Tool, then I instaled ESS 5 still same problems, internet browsing is runing like in fluctuations (it has short moments when loads the page fast but then all pages are loading very very slow)

Edit1: I found what's killing my browsing speed, it seems it's not doing that if I disable Real-time file system protection, and this is very important, something is wrong...anybody knowing what it could be?

Did you perform a clean install of v5 without modifying default settings?

Yes, read my previous post ... it is definetely from the Real-time file protection module ... if I disable it everything works normal.... For example in chrome with that enabled it says WAITING FOR CHACHE when loading pages, and it's the same on firefox and IE9

Edit1: I'm noticing a computer slow-down too, programs opening slower and ccleaner slow scanning...

Edit2: In control panel under Firewall settings the windows firewall is turned off but it's not showing the ESS firewall active ... so I think it's not recognizing it

I bet you 100% you have cracked software on your computer. I have seen many of my friends who use keygens and cracks have such weird issues. If you are saying you have a clean install, then it should do that. The whole community here has been using ESS 5 with no issues.

Format your computer. install only ESS 5, then see the difference for yourself

And no cracks this time ;)

I downloaded from eset.com, 64 bit version, I'm using the trial subscription, so what crack are you talking about. If you can't help only criticize or think I'm a thief please don't say anything, let the others that want to help say their opinions. Thank you.

I'd suggest contacting customer care on this matter. Alternatively you can capture file operations using Procmon while reproducing the issue. When done, compress it, upload it somewhere and PM me the download link.

No man sorry if you unrderstood me wrong I am not saying you are a thief or implying that you are using a crack of ESS or anything. I was just saying this to ensure that you don't have any other cracked software or keygen that may be causing a conflict. As the mod above suggested, try doing that.

What I would really suggest you to do is, install a fresh Windows, then install your drivers and Windows updates, then install ESS 5 and see if the problem persists.

Then only start installing other programs if it was ok to see when does the error start happening exactly. This will enable us to troubleshoot slowly until we find the culprit.

I am trying to help you man, don't get me wrong.

    Same here.

I am unable to activate the product, yet the virus signatures updated. This is on ESS 5 English.

Will 4.2.71.2 be automatically updated to 5.0.93.0? If not what is the best way to update to the new v5 versin of ESS, hopefully keeping my settings along the way?

No you will have to uninstall reinstall.

Maybe you can export and import but to be honest, I would start fresh. Let's see if others chime in here (Marcos etc).

    Good luck.

I can activate on only one of my computers in the house, the other 2 I get an activation error, even though it says its valid. Plus I am using 64 bit Windows 7 and never had the chance to choose 64bit, it seems its all one installation.
