I have the opposite experience; 2012 is a lot lighter for me.

Haven't tried it here, my bro used 2011 for a long time (Like 6 months so we might give 2012 a try to see the difference)

I see a few apps open and respond a little slower. But just 1 time.

The scans are slower (the quick scan scans a lot more items, for example, but there is no need to do full scans anymore because of it), but everything else feels as fast or faster.

will have to try total unninstall and a clean install rather than the update to see if that sorts things, thought it a little odd

Here my internet is down (happens at least 3 times a day) and I feel that my system is slower!

I'll stick with the 2011 version until a patch out for 2012.

2012 is a lot faster for me, especially launching IE.

The upgrade was so smooth it was unbelievable. I have migrated all my logins to the cloud. Gone are the days to type in the same password over and over on different machines OR depend on some small random company that I am not sure I trust to do that for me.

Agreed! The cloud thing with logins is awesome! :) No more "What was the password again?!".

^^^This. According to the staff on the Norton forums the quick scans will be a little slower due to an additional rootkit scan that was added. I have noticed no slowdowns whatsoever. If anything it seems faster to me. Though not everyone will have the same experience. There is always the possibility of conflict with other 3rd party security software. I have absolutely nothing else running realtime.

What happens when subscription runs out and if we don't want to renew? Can we get all the stored passwords from the norton account after expiry of the license?

    Windows 7 32bit.

It's faster for sure, 2011 was fast enough already, but I can feel that this one is even faster :thumb:
