I have sent customer care an email regarding my problem but thought i'd post here because its probably simple and hopefully somebody can shed some light on it.This is what i sent customer care On the 21st august 2010(last year), i purchased a 3 year licence renewal but as of the 31st of august this year the Nod32 window is telling me that my licence has expired. Im not sure if i'm supposed to wait for a renewal username or password? What can i do about this problem? Thanks As i wrote in the email, do i wait for a renewal or something or should it just do it automatically? I'm sure i'm missing something really simple Cheers
Hello pandab When you renew a license no further action should be required. But just in case have you tried to re enter your username and password. Best Regards and have a nice day NoobStick
Yeah i have tried re-entering the username and password and it didn't work, but the licence shouldn't be due for renewal for another 2 years which is why the problem is baffling me. Thanks
you can pm the details to a reseller, or ESET staff member with your name/email used to register the license and they can verifiy the expiration date.
pandab, you may have known this but, dont copy and paste your username and password, manually wnter both. It might help and it might not but Eset will resolve this for you.
i would retype the username and password but i've lost the details, i can't even remember if i used an email when i set it up as i purchased it through a reseller not online
well you could try the lost password form on the eset site - put in the EAV number ad *if* you used an email you can collect the password will be resent. If you used a bogus email then you will have to contact ESET and hope you used the correct name - they can provide the password, but you will have to verify you are the owner of the EAV number. If you used bogus information all across the board, then you might have shot yourself in the foot.... we just refused to process an order from a customer who used a fake name, fake phone for an online order (firstly, it is a fraud risk) - the main reason is EXACTLY this kind of problem that can occur....
I didn't use a fake anything. I have a business and a personal email account, both of which i empty the inbox regularly and i think i may have accidentally deleted the email containing my user name and password thinking that i wouldn't need it. I'd assume it was my personal account i registered it with but i'm not sure Where is the lost password link on the eset australia site? Seems the links on the contact page aren't working, only the one for the reseller program
here is lost password link from US web site, just send user name or email as explain clearly here to Eset australian support...... and hope
