This is what I get after a translation, Shade with integrated anti-virus engines, is the best option for home users in Iran.

Somebody should check to see if it actually uses those two engines.

    Hi all,

This software is using the AntiVir engine in an illegal way.
It is not recommended to use it.

WOT is BS. SiteAdvisor and SafeWeb give the site a green light.
It seems most negative comments are based on the misconception that it's pushing rogue products. To me it looks like it's describing rogues, just as it describes what files safe applications modify. e.g.

In any case, doesn't anybody here have virtual machines?

I wonder if this av also "borrows" Eset/Avira databases not only their engines.

    Kinda like the Iobit-malwarebytes mess?

They claim the Iranian law allows them to simply use the engines and signatures without licensing. They got no permission from Avira.

Nothing strange there, in many countries you can walk into a video store and the only movies you'll find are pirated. Copyright doesn't mean squat there.

Depends if they have a copyright relationship with the country where the software was published. For example, Iran has no copyright relationship with the USA. Microsoft products can be copied and distributed freely in Iran, whether by government offices, universities, or personal users. There are shopping centers in Tehran and other cities in Iran that specialize in the distribution of often highly specialized software.

And FWIW,software published in Iran has no copyright protection in the USA..

I wonder who have written that law, perhaps someone that has a huge interest in software
