Tried OA++ without Run Safer and then shut down OA entirely. Problems with Opera and WSA remained; still needed to close WSA to continue with Opera, then reopen.

Seeing as you and JasonBourne are running a similar setup it may well be a third party interraction, otherwise I might just be lucky, hard to tell.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were some issues given the potential overlap. It'll be interesting to find out if a bit of tweaking resolves it since a fair number of users run PrevX/WSA alongside other security.

I haven't been able to reproduce issues with Opera here myself but we're still testing the interaction with OA/Avast and Opera to see if there is an issue between them.

Does lowering the Identity Shield protection for opera.exe to "Allow" make a difference?

did you guys remove the SOL browser tab in WRSA? (i cant see it in IE9/FF6)
how do I know if the IP address is verified?

are there known incompatibilities between wrsa and geswall?

opera.exe is already at "allow". One observation: just right clicking the WSA icon and selecting "shut down Webroot" sometimes seems to clear Opera even if I don't proceed to "yes" the "do you really want to" message. Will continue to monitor. Have tried shutting down OA; no effect. Next will try shutting down all the Avast! shields when there is a problem. o_O

Can anyone using WSA 8.0.0.7 print a page from an HTTPS website, or even an HTTP website after viewing a secure website?

Seems like an unnecessary / unintended restriction preventing the printing of bank statements, shipping receipts, etc. Lowering the Identity shield for secure sites is one workaround, but seems to defeat the purpose of WSA. Perhaps there should be a confirm/deny popup in this case?

Edit: Found a dedicated thread for this issue.

The SOL browser tab has been removed. In the system tray the WSA icon will change when browsing secure websites.

Since I installed WSA yesterday 8.0.0.7. Google.com isn't loading strait away as it usually does, or at all.
And when it finally does load and I try to search there are no results shown at all, just the white background. :doubt:

And Bing.com wich I never use doesn't load at all. :doubt:

Yahoo.com wich I never use either does load, and does show results. :)

    I use the SecureAnywhere version.

Could you let me know if you're just using the ESET beta or if you have any other security installed? You may want to try disabling Settings - Web Threat Shield - enable search result analysis to see if that improves your browsing.

    Thanks!

Joe, I think you should be able to mass-mark entries and then after that, right click and delete them all. Right now, I have to delete entries one by one of tens of thousands stored "blocks" which I don't want.

Sorry about my Sig, now it's current ;) I uninstalled the BETA yesterday before installing WSA.

No I am not using any other real-time security software at all.

I disabled "Analyze search engine results and identify malicious websites before visitation" under Web Threat Shield if that's what you meant ? :)

Yes with that setting disabled, all sites I mentioned is loading instantly, and all sites are showing results as they should. :thumb:

Is it a common problem since you knew about the "fix" ? :)

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't see how/where to do this. Can you point me in the right direction?

Shadek was making a suggestion directed at PrevxHelp, who happens to be called Joe, for something that it isn't yet possible to do in the program. It is, as PrevxHelp replied, on their list of things to implement. Sorry if you got confused with that. :)

I have been getting system freezes since updating to v8.0.07. This has occurred in two of the snapshots running WSA. One running VipreAV and another running NAV2011.

In both snapshots I had to perform a soft reboot, to get restarted. This is with XP SP3 ( Not fully updated). See screenshot of excerpt from WRlog in WRData folder.

IE8 behaving oddly after 8007. Slower and not as smooth. When I Google and clicks to get into a site it says bump bump a couple of times before site opens. Other behaviour also odd - I will be more observant and report back. Something is not so good.

    Best Regards

I've been a Prevx user since v1 (paid for v1-2 but using 3 free) and only found out about this beta today. I've had WSA installed now for about 3 hours and I'm floored by how light and how effective it is.
