Hi all. Today whenever i update malwarebytes free it updates very slow and hangs sometimes so i have to click on that small updating box everytime to make it resume updating and again when i start doing something else it again pauses but only sometimes like 65 % from 100 o_O
So i wanted to add exception of malwarebytes to ess 5 rc so that there wont be anyyy damn problem even though i know that its only recommended for malwarebytes pro realtime with ess . I'll post the same topic in their forums but please explain me how to add exception of malwarebytes to ess and also its firewall if necessary. And oops also for Internet Download Manager in ess coz i noticed a little slowdown in idm downloading.

I was sent the following "To-Do" from a AV Guru when I posted about Boot-up locks involving MBAM + other Security Apps.

I'll let the moderators OK or Reject it but try it IF you don't get success with plan A.
    ==================================
Following is the complete list of Exclusions in any AV for MBAM-- if ESET allows entire folder then please add C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ and the remaining ones – OR -- add them individually as below:
    Windows XP 32-bit
    1. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll
    2. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamcore.dll
    3. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll
    4. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamnet.dll
    5. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ssubtmr6.dll
    6. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\vbalsgrid6.ocx
    7. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe
    8. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
    9. C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
    10. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref
    11. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys
    12. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys
You can also do the following in MBAM Ignore List for ESET:
    1. C:\Program Files\ESET...
    2. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET...

As far as i know scanned files by MBAM will be scanned in ESS/EAV. Check in tools > statistics.

As a MBAM full edition user it didn't take long to see an issue.
The answer stated above about selecting MBAM to be excluded (protocol filter) is the solution. At least that's what I had done a few weeks ago.
    No issue remains.
