I've reset my http config to high (same as yours TH, thanks).
Found mine set as low (is this default setting?), with https set at max.

Yes low is default for HTTP if you have any problems on any HTTP sites try medium but I don't fine any problems so far, so on any HTTP and HTTPS sites I have the lock in the tray Icon all times!!

An interesting find! The export settings file uses more space than the WSA installation file! :argh:

The exported settings also include a full copy of the quarantine which would explain the discrepancy. It also includes the caching data for the realtime and ondemand scanners so you will see some varying sizes depending on how many files are on your PC.

Could you send a scan log to report@prevxresearch.com for us to take a look?

    Thanks!

"Deny" can happen automatically if a protected program is active and another program tries to access its window, for example. This isn't necessarily malicious but it will be denied automatically. You can safely change it to Allow if you trust the program but you shouldn't have any negative side effects.

    Also, here's another interesting find I found while conducting an on-execution test of malware samples today;

    MD5: 022C6C7F0EEAE4A0223602A2BDDCE094

    glitch 2.png

Why is it that the malware sample is asking me if it's allowed to connect the Internet? WSA detects is as malicious with its generics; shouldn't all potentially malicious actions made by the malicious file be aborted if that's the case? If you ask me, WSA shouldn't ask the user whether the malicious file is allowed to connect or not. The file has been found malicious, and for obvious reasons it should not be allowed to connect to the Internet. :)

Forgot! Yes, heuristic is set to always warn when a "new", not trusted, file tries to connect to the Internet. However, the file is found malicious in the first place, so it shouldn't ask anyway. :)

I would like to be able to choose fullscreen on the GUI an FW popups. I am not 25 anylonger and eyesight is poor to say the least. I need bigger letters.

    Best Regards

Is the latest version still 7.9.0.4 ?

When we had the SOL icon on the address bar we were able to add protection for sites we wanted extra protection for with a couple of mouse clicks. Now we have to trawl through the GUI and type it in.
When can we expect to see a right click menu from the sys tray icon to do this?

v7.9.0.7 if you were a closed beta tester, if not v7.9.0.4 is the latest

Reported this in the first week of private beta testing.
It is odd that something detected as malware can initiate an outbound connection.
You are obviously not testing in its standard settings, otherwise it would have been allowed to connect.
It is still in beta, and they are aware of this.

What I wrote above (post #411):

"Yes, heuristic is set to always warn when a "new", not trusted, file tries to connect to the Internet. However, the file is found malicious in the first place, so it shouldn't ask anyway."

It's possible that the file was found as malicious immediately after it started running (possibly by a database rule which took longer to respond to). Have you seen this with any other files or have you seen it again? I would tend to think we initially missed the file but then protected it immediately once we started seeing the behavior.

    Thanks for the help!

I'll be posting a changelog once we update all users to the next version. I don't know the exact date of this as we're preparing other changes in the background but it should be coming very soon :)

I never said Hi! when I arrived at this forum, so: Hi! :D

To state the obvious I am really impressed by the quality of the program, even if still a beta, and the response and interaction of the devs, which gives a lot of confidence.

    Now I have 2 questions:
    - anybody have the same 2 minute freeze when a suspicious program is detected?
    - I have a second computer, can I test the beta there as well or is it a 1 pc only thing.

    cheers
    )0~

    Thanks :)

I already did send several things, just hope I am not flooding them with bugs!
Just kidding, I trust the beta enough to have it running on my main pc.

Will do the second signup to see if it is the same there, or just some conflict on this one.
