The addon times out after 90 days. So it is considered a trial.

That is why we want a DNS service because TM does not offer its web protection for free. ;)

Oh well I had no idea about that. That's a :thumbd: then.
I know. But I hadn't seen that tool mentioned on Wilders before wich is why I did mention it.
Hmm so you would like TM to start a DNS Service as well? ;)
But I thought that you would like a particular other vendor to do that :shifty:

Have you really used it more than 90 days and seen that it stopped working? I have used it about 4 months but it always works. But that addon sometimes ave me BSOD. More trend does not support this addon no more. Last time I asked them about this, they told me that it is not trial, it is free and that's why it is placed in their free portal.

I guess they need to change their faq...but I guess its fine since not many people pay attention to those. So its no longer supported?

That's what they told me. You can also see that there was not any product update for a long time. It's not fully compatible with Win7 and with all hardwares. But, as the detection is cloud based, you are free of backdated protection.

Interesting, I wish I could find so much good detection in my tests...:'( 99.15% detection was possible in my case only if the web filter is turned on or may be their pests are somewhat old.

Good Evening ! I purchased Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2011 just yesterday taking advantage of the 50% off Sale. Surprise...Surprise...new 2012 version is now available. Now the intriguing part ! I phoned Trend and inquired how to uninstall 2011 and reinstall 2012...asking if all I needed too do was insert the newly acquired 2011 license key into 2012. The support person at Digital River Trend's Billing Vendor...informed me that I had to uninstall the 2011 version and reinstall the new version. Well the tricky part is the new version is $79.95 not $39.99. This is bad bad business...a rancid odor permeating the air. I would like to ask marciocruz is this really Trend policy, or an uninfomed communication from the Billing Vendor. If so I've gone ahead and asked for the refund to my Credit Card. I would really like to subscribe to the new version at the for sale price...that seems to me to be a satisfactory solution. Sincerely...Securon
