Don't waste your moeny on this rubbish.

This crap stuffed up my new i5, what rubbish.
I lost my computer for one week after installing this garbage.

Why bother with such rubbish when there are plenty of other anti virus programs that will not stuff you up, e.g Norton, Kaspesrky etc.

My computer is back to normal now that I deleted it and put Kaspersky back on.

A waste of $9.95, never again.
    Over priced at $9.95.

Learn how to produce a stable product, not crap.

BitDefender is not the most stable AV out there, it's true. But there is a demo.

Sorry vojta I misread the NOT in your statment.
I am a bit worked up atm.
    I need to calm down.

I CANNOT believe that BD is rated highly!
    By whoo_O

My computer was crashing all the time, terrible crashes.
I was trying everything and my computer kept crashing.
Once I removed BD and installed Kaspersky, everything all OK, running like a rocket.

Why bother with an anti virus program that casues your computer to behave as if it has some terrible virus on it!!! That is ridiculous and can cause people to pay for a "professional" to come out and have a look at their computer ( and pay a fortune) when all they need to do is remove their silly AV program. Should send all those bills to BD. That would cause them to WAKE UP and produce a useable product. Class action against BD, wake up guys and produce something useable.

People at Wilderssecurity test tons of security software and everybody in here have created safe enviroments to test the programs. Its common knowledge that security programs can behave different on different setups. Some can ruin a guys computer while run perfect on anothers computer. I've been running BD since beta stages on two computers (one laptop and one desktop, Win7 x64), and I have not had any problems at all. A week ago I installed the Emsisoft AV beta, and the uninstall of BD on a third computer went absolutely fine without problems. My only BD problem is that im feeling a slight slowdown on web browsing.

I dont see who is most stupid - Bitdefender or the user who buys there software without testing it :p Btw. you should send them some logs if possible to help them make a better product :thumb:

Contact their support and ask for a refund, you are totally entitled to do so. As eBBox says, send them crash logs if you have any, this will help them and will reinforce your petition too. I remember that someone here got a refund from F-Secure some days ago. He had the exact same problem as you, no software is immune to failure as every single computer behaves differently.

Just in case it's not obvious the small download - less than one meg - is a stub that starts another download of the product. The offline installer for BDIS is over 200 megs and after installation there's a signature download. It takes a while with basic DSL, so depending on your connection be prepared. One reason I like Norton Internet Security is the installation is very fast, though the first sig download is also pretty big. All these products that use local signatures have a big initial download.
