Yes, it's looking good. Is there a changelog? One obvious improvement is the trayicon now displays information, such as when real-time protection is enabled. The GUI has a more modern look too.

Well will try it out. I have watching out threads for final version of this product and it seems that it has gone through thorough testing b4 release....maybe an example for some to follow.....

    Hi,
While mbam occupies 6.71MB of disk space, why does sas need so much space(63.55MB)? I expected this matter to be considered in the new version 5. But it was not.

Well, at least sas is now faster and the new gui is great.

mbam uses more than 6.7MB of disk space, its just spread out in different directories

The GUI looks amazing. Already downloaded and installed. The new version seems to fix the old problem of the splash screen being stuck when loading SAS which was really annoying.

Running a quick scan now and like the way everything feels :p

It redirects to Cnet as well.

I'd be more interested in a direct download link. :p Is it lurking somewhere where I couldn't find it? :ninja:

    -edit-

Don't take this the wrong way, but I fail to see/find any hash values on SUPERAntispyware official website. This is specially concerning, when we're redirected to a third-party service, IMHO.

The hash values should be provided, even if the download was done from SAS own servers. Then again, just my humble opinion. ;)

If it's helpful, Major Geeks has SAS 5 hosted here: http://majorgeeks.com/SUPERAntiSpyware_d5116.html

Thanks. Softpedia also has it, by the way. But, without hash values mentioned at SAS official website...

Let's just say - and I'm not sure if it has been corrected already - Softpedia is hosting a SpywareBlaster 4.4 o_O version and the hash value differs from the installer available from Javacool Software website.

I didn't investigate any further recently, like downloading Softpedia's version, because all monthly traffic I can spare is precious. :D

You can see more here https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?&p=1895913&postcount=4

By "touched" I meant that it's either an older version and Softpedia screwed up, or it has really been modified.

But, the hashes didn't match. And, they still don't (I verified it again just now.).

+1 :thumb: I downloaded the free from the SAS web site and my computer uninstalled the old version, installed V5, inserted my key automatically, and my SAS Pro is good to go. :D

It seems that now a direct download link is present. :thumb:

Still, no hashes to compare if a user decides to download from a third-party service to spare international monthly traffic.

Some ISP services (in here) still make a distinction between national and international traffic. At least in their basic services. Basic, but expensive. o_O

This makes people want to look for national websites (similar to Softpedia, for example) that host files in their servers. This makes people spare international traffic, which isn't that much. :ouch:

This is where hash values come in hand. I hope you'll add them to your website. :)

Good work, SAS v5 has many new modules that are highly demanding and can meet up with the latest fashions of malware;)

I just did a Quick Scan for the heck of it, and it caught 10 data miners in the first few seconds and was finished in two minutes.

I need a picture of a finished scan that shows what to Quarantine ( i do not have it set to quarntine when finished either) for a beginner manual i am creating.

The screen shots on superantispyware's web site only shows it once it is in quarantine

can someone make a screen shot for me and post me a link in here please

    I would really appreciate it

Isn't that when it's scanning? My guess a magnifying glass? The scan time is hugely improved, btw what happened to the 'ping' sound when it finishes scanning? Although, it was a bit intermittent on the old version on my notebook LOL!
