Very good update, the new icons are nice and no button style icons for extensions anymore. Seems stable so far :thumb:

Thanks for the heads up - nice! :) For some reason, bookmark folders are working better for me in this version. Could be my imagination, I suppose.

Running nicely here. imo it certainly makes for a faster browsing experience than Chrome. Synthetic tests don't tell you how quickly the browser starts or how quickly things like speed dial are ready to use. Nice job Opera :thumb: :thumb:

It certainly is lightning fast, I appreciate that on my notebook especially.

Oh ho ... I've just had a favicon disappear ... *Doh!*

The portable is superb as well. I'm impressed so far. :thumb:

I find firefox, chrome and firefox the same speed tbh. i prefer opera because it manages to keep the speed but also has plenty of features.

The list of used/inserted web addresses is gone and that's strange as it's pretty handy feature imo It worked sort of a history of my browsing I could always refer to. Perhaps they think the BIN will suffice.

Yes, thanks, much appreciated. Now if I could just get my bookmarks to load in a more timely manner things would be nice. This has been an issue for a few months now (2 I think) and I was hoping the new version would get things back to the way they were before. It did not.

I'm loving Opera 11.50. I'm hoping the extensions will get better. I heard that Ghostery, the excellent web bug, cookie and ad tracker will be coming to Opera very soon. I'd love to get Vimium on Opera as well!!

    Ghostery would be good. :thumb:

External Scripts isn't bad, but I am not sure of its efficacy.

Though I'm a little surprised they didn't include hardware acceleration, Opera 11.50 is the best version of this browser released so far IMO. Kudos to the team for doing a great job - it's blazingly fast and never "hiccups" unlike some other browsers I know.

No doubt they'll get around to hardware acceleration. It is the best version so far. I've been using it quite a lot of late. I REALLY do wish they'd fix that disappearing favicon bug though. Strangely SeaMonkey suffered from the same thing a few versions ago.

I am *not* happy about 11.50 : www.maczot.com doesn't load properly into this version, I have to reload it several times and worse, when the master password is asked, the focus is not on the popup window, so I have to click into the text zone before typing the master password. It's definitely a design flaw. Since then, I have reverted to 11.11 which I find much better.

For those who need the portable version,Opera has one built in,Choose option when installing, Stand-alone installation(USB) and you are good to go.
