The automatically upload box is grayed out but on closer inspection I see that it is checked. Bad eyes.
What is the difference between quick scan and default scan?

Thought so, it's the same on my computer. Quick scan is faster and less thorough. What do you mean by full scan? A scan of you entire computer would be too taxing on HMP's servers.

ESET has a free online full scan. I ran it the other day. Easy download through IE. Scan took 45 minutes. Found and cleaned/quarantined a trojan in the MBR that's been on my system but giving me no problems since Hitman killed the program a year ago. Either that - or MBAM's free scan.

IMO, this is one of the most important things on a product. I remember when I tried F-secure. I like it and wanted to buy. I could only find 2010 version on the stores, so I sent like 10 emails asking if I would have to pay to update to 2011. Till today (5 months later) no answer.

Now I wonder, if it takes more than 5 months to help me BUY the product, how long would it take to get help with an infection for eg.

Ehe :p just my 2 cents

I couldn't agree more. There are a handful of outstanding individuals I have been fortunate enough to come across who have not only developed superior products but also provide superior service.

It's very difficult to overstate just how valuable that excellent service is (both to the customer and ultimately to the provider). :thumb:

Thanks so much for the information. It sure is nice to find helpful people. I am using HMP as a third opinion just as the developers suggest.

    SAS pro
    MBAM pro
    Avast
    OP 7.5.1 pro

A third? Really is that what they suggest?

SAS has found scumware that MBAM has missed and visa versa. HMP is a great back stop as far as I am concerned. I am a careful (paranoid:>>) guy.

I also received the same answer from Erik and can only share your sentiments about him and this company. :thumb:

The file is partially downloaded thus certificate is missing, thus suspicious.

Can someone please explain to me, in layman and basic terms, how exactly does Hitman Pro work?

Vitamin deficiencies can explain serious memory gaps.

And.....is it so hard to believe that any major or minor release are preceded by a beta?

You said, "Fingerprints of a suspicious file (either cryptographic hash or fuzzy hash) are sent to the server to see if the file is a known file"

And I ask, what are Fingerprints and how do they work on files?

    Re: Beta Build 128

Do I need to uninstall 127 before installing the 128 Beta?
