    Hi,

I was looking to buy this software but found some strange things.

    http://www.looknstop.com/En/index2.htm

here bottom left there is an image which is showing USD 29/- as price

but when I clicked on buy, it shows EURO 29/- which is equal to USD 41/-

why two things are different ?

    any reply ?

    29euro includes VAT

    here's how it looks today
    D'un montant de $35.31 USD
Vers un montant de €24.25 EUR
    Taux de change : 1 USD = 0.686774 EUR

Yeah, within the European Union, you now how to pay in Euro whenever it's possible and also pay the VAT. Those are the laws of the EU. :) You pay in USD, EU won't get the taxes from VAT, hence the rule that you have to pay in Euro.

But the web site (still) says $29. I have asked for an explanation. I am not an EU citizen - so VAT should not be applied to we colonials.

Where's your IP located? The IP adress is assigned to a country which is a member of the EU, you should pay in euro and pay VAT 19%.

I am in Australia and have an Australian IP address - we should not have to pay VAT. The Euro/VAT is an issue here with several programs/purchases. It seems as though they assume the purchaser is in the Euro zone. Trying to get a (legitimate) refund is almost impossible (I don't bother any more). The only time I have no problem is when the vendor uses US$ or my local currency.

Removed Off Topic Post. The subject is LnS Price Confusion, not a request to seek other firewalls. Let's keep on topic. Thanks!

I sent a support request. The reply is that 'The price is USD 29 if you buy from US, and 29 euros if you buy from Europe'. Is this evidence that the US and Europe are unaware that there are other parts of our planet?

Hmmm. Having failed to pay by PayPal, and having failed to get ANY response from numerous links, such as those described in this gory-details-thread
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=301443

From their reseller, Nexway, I bought using my Visa CREDIT card.
I got the licence in seconds.
I'm in the US. The price was $35.21 after conversion from 24.25 €. On the invoice was a GB+8digit number under "VAT paid on debits" entry. Go figure.

So I think that $29 is a myth.

I must agree with you. There may be a communications breakdown between the LnS web site and the payment route. It's a pity.

When I visit the main site, all I see is $29, doesn’t give the currency information.

Visiting the 'Buy Now’ page, it shows 29.00 € for a single license.

    LnsSales.png

Currently the currency information is 29.00 € > 41.702 USD.

He lives in France, he wants to be paid in France currency, I live in Canada, and if I’m asking for $5, I want >$5 CAD. ;p

And so what if its $41USD or $38CAD, its a very powerful product and is worth every bit of this.

Actually was 35USD for me. I couldn't agree with you more about its worth. Great firewall, though a bit rough to learn.
