Hows FreeBSD? I am tempted to give it a go. Is it difficult to set up? I use Arch Linux and Gentoo for the most part so I can't see it being worse
    than that ;)

Do you guys think this is good enough?
Firefox with all of the good plugins (NoScript, ADBP, Ghostery etc.) + Geswall'd
    Chrome sanboxed with sandboxie + safe-plugins +incognito + Adblock
    1806 trick
    UAC High
EMET on internet facing apps +PDF viewer + Sanboxie
    Avast on high.
Comodo on high D+ on paranoid and block untrusted

Is this secure enough? I hate setting SRP up every time I reinstall (3 times this week).

It's secure enough. Why do you hate setting up SRP?

    A. you should be using images rather than full reinstalls (if that is what you are doing), it saves boatloads of time and your settings like SRP are already in place

    B. if you are testing etc that much, you should create an automated method to setup your SRP. Just export the registry values, then import them after reinstall, reboot, and it is done. It isn't in the GP this way, but it doesn't matter until you are done messing around.

    @J_L
Awesome good to here! And I don't hate SRP I just hate how annoying it is to set up. The last 3 times I have been able to execute MSI's when they should be restricted. Not sure what is causing this but if I can't get it to work I will just use app lock and Deny the downloads folder only.

    A) Sadly I use truecrypt FDE which means (AFAIK) unless I use CloneZilla and do a bit for bit back up I am am SOL. Macrium reflect fails and so does win 7 back up utility. Do you know of any that are compatible?

    B) Good idea :thumb: I will do that next time.

The reason why I had to reinstall 3 times was because I was having random lockups (complete lockups; had to hold the power button to shutdown). Turns out it was an Intel Graphics Driver conflict. I have since not installed it and hid the update in windows updates.

Webroot Cloud AV (how it's called... for now) also offers offline protection. Cloud AV doesn't really fit into the description. :D

Testing out Panda free. I almost definitely won't keep it, but it'll be good to have a look and see.
