Hey, today I downloaded Mamutu because of the license giveaway. However, that would mean I have Avast! free, unpaid Prevx, Zemana AntiLogger, and Mamutu all running at the same time. I feel with Mamutu I should be able to get rid of at least one of them. What should I do? Prevx will detect but won't remove, and right now Zemana doesn't really do anything on 64-bit, but I want to know what you think I should do.

Zemana is somewhat crippled on 64-bit at the moment. I would remove that.

I read somewhere that HIPS don't work as good as on 32-bit because of Windows Patchguard on 64-bit :)

Depends on the HIPS. It works very very well. It's just that HIPS that make use of sandboxing may not be able to take advantage of kernel level modifications. Though, if they have a signed driver they should be able to unless I'm misunderstanding.

Google DNS does not block any malware. Its security lies in preventing DNS poisoning. Google DNS will never block any sites.

I could use Sandboxie but I'm waiting for a policy-based program for 64-bit like GeSWall or Defensewall, or I'll wait for a license giveaway for AppGuard maybe, though I didn't like it as much as GeSWall when I tried GeSWall on a different PC. I just like the policy-restriction method of blocking better than sandboxie's method.

Also how many alerts does it have after a week or so? If it has as many for trusted programs like Online Armor then I may not keep it long.

I think I will. Little Snitch runs smooth :thumb: The reason I though it was Gmbh now was because the bottom of the page says
What the heck is GmbH? is it a company or abbreviation like "Ltd."?

Anyways I am loving so far. The nice transparent popup showing network connections is awesome too!:thumb:
    Thanks for your help!
Too bad the other didn't work I like being able to control R/W access like a HIPS.

Any other security tools for Mac?

Mamutu was too heavy for my taste, Zemana runs very light and stays on my system. Eset Smart Security 5 is doing fine on my system so far. :)
