Just purchased SuperAntiSpyware

I just purchased the PRo version of SuperAntiSpyware + the lifetime subscription and I was charged on my credit card.

When do I actually receive my license?

 

You should get it within minutes of completing the transaction. I bought the 2 user pack of SAS w/lifetime updates myself a couple of months ago.

And have no regrets over it. It does a fine job for the money spent.

Nevermind, I just received my license

 

To be honest, I did not really NEED the Pro version as I am fine with manual scans, however, I have been using SuperAntiSpyware for 2 years now (their free version), and out of respect to them and to support them. I bought the PRO version to go along with my ESET Smart Security Suite

 

Yeah its a nice software for removing malware from infected machines. SAS will be releasing the new version ie v5 soon and it has load of new features which will provide more comprehensive protection and removal abilities

So do I. SAS is a good app to have, it catches many things, such as ad cookies & even some trojans.

On this PC, ESET NOD32 AV 4 is my main protection, and have MBAM (free version), and now SAS. Plus the free Comodo Firewall & G Data Cloud Security (this only works with FF & IE). So I should be good, assuming that I use good computing practices. The installed protection cannot do it all for you.

I dont understand how on other forums like Notebook Review forums and My Digital Forums all the members there swear by Malwarebytes AntiMalware, but in my experience, SAS is better is it catches the same stuff and sometimes more than MBAM an it also catches the harmful cookies which MBAM totally ignores!!

I use both MBAM and SAS Pro, but on-demand only (same for Hitman).

I bought a SAS license some years ago, but if I had more dough I probably have paid for both of them to say my satisfaction to each of their developers.

Same with DefenseWall, I bought many years of one same license, even if I cannot use it on my 64-bit license right now, in my mind, it is so much of a darn good product that I can live with the wait for the eventual future x64 version...

 

Its not good to compare SAS with MBAM, not saying that it will lead to A vs B scenario its just that both these products are very good at cleaning of malware infested systems and they should be given equal credits coz it sometimes saves you from wasting money

 

U are not alone, I bought the lifetime license out of respect to the developer. They are just great that's why I support them. I have Superantispyware, NOD32 antivirus and Outpost Pro... they work great.

With Outpost lifetime license, all I need is just upgrade my NOD32 AV once every 2-3 years...

FWIW you can also use either OS inbuilt tools such as disk cleanup or free tools such as C/Cleaner to remove all those tracking cookies that SAS does not know yet that are still sitting in your tempory caches being "harmful"

Perhaps if you had MBAM PRO, you wouldn't need to "catch stuff" because MBAM's IP Protection Module, heuristics, etc. (and good AV) would have forbidden malware from getting in the system in the first place.

I too have SAS Lifetime for my systems and I give it (and MBAM PRO) as presents to all my immediate family and relatives so they don't need to bring me their systems to disinfect/rebuild. I run the new SAS v5.0.1096 but it's MBAM PRO and other layered protection that's going to protect us.

Try running MBAM PRO and if you're disatisfied, ask Marcin for a refund. But if you are satisfied, let the forum know.

Try to prevent before you'll need to correct...

MBAM's merits are SAS's demerits but don't forget that vice versa is also present

 

I have the pro versions of both...SAS since the early days of its release.

I run them on demand only.

I do a quick scan with MBAM, daily.

However, I very seldom do a scan with SAS, because it always comes up with what I believe to be, is a FP. I have reported this by email to the developer, and posted it in the Wilders' forum, previously...but I digress.

With great respect for you, I'm not going to agree. If I was compelled to give up one in favor of the other, I'd give up my SAS Lifetime Pro. The fact that they work and play well together without the need for reciprocal exclusions is great.

If SAS had strong preventative abilities like MBAM PRO, I would not make my decision as easily. I am very happy that they both have undeniable strengths though.

Unless I've misunderstood you, IMHO you are denying one of the greatest tools you have by not allowing your MBAM PRO to protect your system further. MBAM PRO's preemptive IP Protection Module alone could protect you from much malware intrusion. Add its other features and you would be much better protected.

 

No doubt... I did try it briefly, but, it didn't feel right for me...YMMV.

I chose to go with the ESS path
