The results of PCAV are due to the disinfection bug in compressed files introduced in 1.5.0 which will be fixed with the automatic upgrade to 1.5.1 in the next few days.

I don't know. It just seemed odd seeing that it is seldom talked about. It must be better than I thought it was. :thumb:

Any other companies test Ad-Aware Pro?

AV Comparatives, VB and AV-test are more accurate than PC Mag in regards to testing in my opinion. A few of the results in that round of testing by PC Mag seem a bit strange such as Ad Aware and Comodo getting the best results.

Malwarebytes 1.46? The 1.5 versions were released long time ago and are supposed to be a vast improvement over version 1.46.

to me, if you really look at the results, there are some bright spots for PCAV. And with some changes coming, only better. By no means would this test make me question using it, if anything it just reinforced why i am going to use it and how much potential it has...

As far as unexpected results goes, how about the numbers that Outpost's AV scored? Now that was (at least by me, anyway) unexpected!

Good Morning ! Surprising results for Zone Alarm 2012. Just one question, if they're using Kaspersky engine why the difference in malware detection and rating?Otherwise the new product performs much more responsively than the previous 2010 version,Checkpoint skipped 2011 and introduced 2012 and the results I feel are impressive overall. If anyone's interested check out the 30day trial on Checkpoint's website. Sincerely...Securon

i have ZA Antivirus and firewall installed in my desktop and is definitely a lot better and lighter and much more responsive. ZA and KAV are not the same thing though as ZA uses an older version or the version that is used for the corporate editions of Kaspersky. I hope you understand me

Not to nit pick, but I see the detection results from the Outpost 7.5 review and a link to the PCAV review showing Outpost 7.0 for removal results?
