Outpost Pro Adverts

I can expect this is the free version, but why now has outpost pro started to download and install adverts, and special offers for $19.95

 

Now? Its been this way for a loooooong time. If I remember correct, obviously.

 

I think in Outpost 2008 they used to put security news. Then they changed to just ads.

 

tekkaman is correct this has been a feature in Outpost for quite some time now.

Under Settings - In the General section is Alerts. The last item on the list of minor alerts is "News Download". Remove the check box and news downloads cease.

The main window will now have a link that says "Click here to receive product news." Note: Clicking the link will download the latest "news" item and place a check back in that alert setting.

 

Did as Firepost sugested, and then disabled self protection, so i could delete the news folder in Agnitum programs folder, and then re-enabled self protection. Now where the adverts were it just says no news so far
