Icann increases web domain suffixes

    "The ICANN board of directors has approved a new plan to increase the number of TLDs, which enables personalization and opens up the TLD market to more languages. This comes with a few issues, though. First, there’s a $185,000 filing fee, which doesn’t automatically grant you the top-level domain. The ICANN will only consider corporations or other entities, but will not accept filings from individuals or sole proprietorships."

    Read this in the Guardian and wondered about the impact. Thoughts?
