Will SecureAnywhere be Webroot's new main product or will they keep their normal AV/IS etc and keep developing them separately like Panda with their normal products and separate Panda Cloud AV?

If it were me I would install Avast, use Webroot SecureAnywhere and use MBAM and SAS only as on-demand scanners with their real-time protection turned off, but that is me.

It's up to you but note this is the Closed Beta Stage and if you have any problems please use the support inbox via the program GUI or http://info.webrootcloudav.com/service.asp?Source=WEBROOTPBETA in which it is the same and not here in the forums!

    TIA,

    TH

    Some questions:

Will this come with your malware cleanup guarantee (with remote support help if necessary) when it is released?

Will SafeOnline still exist for those who just want the website identity protection?

Please don't post questions here about the Closed Beta if you are using it and also any replies from support! Continue with the support inbox all posts will be removed from sight but not permanently deleted!

    Thanks,

    TH

the beta key says 366 days, so is that means that this beta will be tested that long ?

I sure hope not :D it will work until they decide to deactivate the key! As this is a Closed Beta any other Questions should be sent to the support inbox not in the forums!

    TIA,

    TH

I believe the actual beta duration is 90 days but we haven't put limitations on the keys yet (although we will likely do this retroactively).

MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) flags Webroot SecureAnywhere processes as Trojan:Win32/Daiboo.A

This was the first FP I ever encountered with MSE, since it first came out. :argh:

Considering I cannot report them as FPs, since it's a closed beta... Just a heads up. ;)

I thought they had fixed that - could you try updating and see if that corrects it? If not, we will reach back out to them.

The following vendors have had FPs against us so far just in case anyone has seen them and become concerned:

    - Avira
    - Antiy
    - Dr. Web
    - eSafe
    - Ikarus
    - Immunet
    - Jiangmin
    - Kaspersky
    - McAfee
    - Microsoft
    - Rising

Will the license work on a Virtual machine if I have activated it on my real system beforehand (from which the beta is now uninstalled)?

We recommend only installing on one PC for now but you may be able to install it on a VM as well (although, for management purposes, we would prefer if you signed up twice instead).

I had and have the latest available definition updates installed. But, now it doesn't flag them.

Strange behavior at the feedback form... (webroot website).

I provided a suggestion, and I provided steps like Overview > something else > something else, to show what place in SecureAnywhere options I'm talking about, and the feedback form recognized the > as "greater than". :D

Just a glitch, I'd say? lol

Same problem for me! ....several "greater than's" in my reports!

This is actually intentional as a protection measure - we know what you mean, however! :)

How come so much vendors are flagging it as trojan/malware ?

I'm not bashing Prevx or being malicious, just curious.

Because it's Beta software and unknown to some other AV's!
