What is your security setup these days?

I had a browsing slowdown whenever using the anti-phishing bar in Bit Defender and I had to disable it on advice from some representatives from Bit Defender on their forums to resolve the issue.

BitDefender 2012 might be better though, nowadays for me it comes down to whichever product offers the best protection + fastest browsing speeds. Since most AV companies are starting to pick up their game AV suites which offer faster internet/file access come out on top.

 

I see. I have disabled it in Firefox - it is anyway greyed out when it's running sandboxed. What surprises me is that the http scanner doesn't slow down browsing noticeably - a pleasant surprise, since when I used it on XP SP3, I had to disable the Http scanner to browse without slowdown.
Does anyone know if your current license will run on 2012 beta?

i got myself a laptop which i only use for daily work internet surfing and personal use.
toshiba brand
AMD athlon tm dual core II P 340 2.20 ghz ram 2g and 64 bit. It came with NIS trial for 3 months but it was uninstalled and i really did not want to renew because i have to set up a security defense apps and i really can't decide which. Avast is the one i use right now and i am happy with it. Maybe i put in MBAM pro and see what it does to ram consumption and performance . Panda Cloud might be a very good candidate or just AVAST antivirus

EAM isn't a monster my good friend. Just a little heavy lifting required for the moment. The umbrella is far from innocent.

They both are very good products so I think one being better than the other product is subjective IMO. Although right now I prefer Rapport.

When Panda 1.5 gets the final release I will likely put it back on. The RC was going to require removal anyway. Panda Cloud is evolving into quite a jem and with odd goings on with Prevx/Webroot who knows what to expect there...

I see. Well I think you should try out the "SecureAnywhere/Prevx" Beta once it becomes available and decide afterwards if the changes are good or not

If you don't trust them, why would you want to use them, and even support the development of one of them?
