Bought one, never used it before. Normally I use Emsisoft, but I have great sympathy for MBAM, so will try it out.

I usually just use MBAM as a manual scanner but this is too good a deal to pass up, not to mention throwing some money at a company that has probably saved me money over the years.

yeap and alot of people use the free version all over the net in forums etc etc to clean infected computers so why not to contribute for a good company

 

I could not resist even though I am using the Pro on both machines.
I decided I would get one for a gift.

Although some AV specific forums recommend not using anything except their AV, MBAM use is not negotiable. If an AV I planned to use could not run without conflict with MBAM I would go to another AV. So far I have not found a conflict with the AVs I have used. MBAM is a must have, and I have used it to clean friend's computers of rogues when their AV could not do so.

Bit gutted I bought mbam just 5hrs before this offer, however im gonna use this as my only real time protection. I do of course have HMP for any backup scans, the way I see it is - most people use MBAM and HMP together to test other products or to test machines for infections, so I cant see what harm this setup will do to keep me protected.

I'm a very safe surfer anyway, but even if it wasn't - no doubt mbam will keep me safe, and if not HMP is there on hand waiting to be brought into action

 

Even though I use MBAM on demand, this is a good time to say thank you to a company that has an excellent reputation in fighting malware. Incidentally out of curiosity I have activated the "enable protection" and "Website Blocking" along with Avira's "Guard", and there was no slowdown whatsoever, even memory usage is reasonable.

Just to clarify - this is real-time protection, isn't it? Why does this not conflict with other existing AV running or is it supposed to replace those?
