I am assuming I will not get a refund. I have a Vipre Lisc that I got for the whole house. I am thinking of going back to it. But I am always searching for a better Software.

F-Secure is not talked about much in the AV forum https://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=32 and also I have not tried it so I can't say.

Av-Comparative awarded it as the product of the year. I'm sure there are other examples.

Sorry can you explain alittle more still not quite clear? Refund for F-Secure or Prevx? And unhappy with who's tech support?

I was talking of the tech suport I received from F-secure I have been very happy with Prevx and the support I have received.
You guys have been great I am looking at downloading Avast now
I emailed several links to Tech support for F-secure in reference to the rpoblems coexisting with Prevx.

 

Sorry to here that you are having problems with them but we are always here to help and hope that you will give Prevx 4 Beta a run when it is released to the public!

I have downloaded Avast and prevx. I should have stayed with it, but I read the Av Comparatives and thought F-secure would work for me I look forward to being an asset to this website

 

It should work well for you as a few use both here and not all setups work for everyone! And it`s good to have you around!

I'm now using Prevx and F-Secure without a problem, but I had to do this:

in the "anti-virus" folder inside F-Secure's installation folder there is a file called "hive.db". It seems to be some sort of data base that grows exponentially everytime that F-Secure does a full scan.

I searched in F-Secure's forum and it happens only to some people, not to everyone. Maybe it's caused by the interaction with Prevx in my case.

The thing is that, when hive.db grows so much (up to 850 MB in my system), F-Secure slows my computer a lot. I found in their forum that you can simply trash that file and things go back to normal, but you need to do it in safe mode, as it's been continuosly used by the program and so Windows won't allow you to delete it while F-Secure is running.

 

I got a Email this morning From F-secure they are giving me a Refund. I would like to publicly thank them for their attention to this matter.
