Oz Unity.

Not to be confused with Unity. Based on Ubuntu Linux Lucid 10.04 LTS, this distro has a default Netbook Remix interface:

pclinuxos LXDE. A very nice distro indeed. Light and fast and everything just works.

 

nice sceenshots Beavenburt have you tried pclinuxos xfce i tried last time its was awesome )

 

Yeah i've tried it and it's also very nice as are all the pclinuxos spins. All good choices for a desktop.

I added the favorites to a Cairo dock and changed the background to black.

It looks less busy on a laptop.

No - that's not the Unity launcher on the left. Traditional netbook remix categories.

I was never a huge fan of the faenza icons but these silver ones do look good with dark themes in particular.
