I am worried that I may get a virus via LAN if my computer is allowed to see and talk to other computers on the network (my moms, cousins etc)
How do I disable it via the ESS firewall?

Its currently on learning mode atm, but I want to stop anything from potentially happening.

Okay, so I found it under IDS and advanced options

Do you guys think its okay to disable all allowed services and windows 7/vista services just to be safe?

My first suggestion would be to get the Firewall's filtering mode out of "Learning Mode" and change it to "automatic mode with exceptions". This will allow the firewall to remember the rules you've already created but won't leave you at risk of the firewall automatically creating rules you may not want.

To close off all connection to your home network so none of your computers can see each other, you can set your Protection Mode to "Strict Protection" and the steps for both of these can be found in the following KB Article:

    http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2141

In Step 2, rather than selecting "Interactive Mode", select "Automatic mode with exceptions" instead.

In Step 3, select "Strict protection" rather than "Allow Sharing".
