    Using ClearCloud since a while now.
    - Speed is OK, no slowdowns compared to Google Public DNS that I was using.
    - Downtime seems to be even better (experienced none until now).
    - Malware domain blocking is great and the (obviously) best part of the service.
    - Experienced only one false positive, fixed less than a hour after my report (which is very easy to make).

    Do any of these DNS services use DNSSEC or DNSCurve?

    i went with Norton DNS over Clearcloud.

    i figured that Norton being a bigger company their DNS service would be better.
    does not mean it is true but anyway...

    it seems to work good and it has caught a few baddies since i first installed couple months ago.

    You can test this here: https://www.grc.com/dns/dns.htm

    ClearCloud does support DNSSEC.

    Norton DNS here too.Although is annoying that it doesn't give you the option to go to the blocked page.

    Thanks. It doesn't check for DNSCurve though.
    For me it checked the DNS server configured in my computer, not the one in the router.

    I tested a lot of DNS's that claim to block malware with a fresh 50 links from MDL. Norton DNS had impressive results, Open DNS, and Comodo DNS did unexpectedly poor. ClearCloud is up-and-coming though :)

    OpenDNS isnt really surprising, its not a DNS meant for malware blocking, it has botnet protection and protection against major infections like conficker and also phishing sites, but it is not meant to be a dedicated malware blocking DNS.

    I've been using ClearCloud on a couple machines for the last 5 weeks, so I think it's time to switch over to Norton DNS for a while.

    I've used both: ClearCloud DNS and Norton DNS.

    I'm now using Norton DNS, by the fact that it is a company that I know and trust, also did not like the ClearCloud DNS because it has many false-positives, several sites were broken with the images, or so he blocked access. And it had to report, ai after 2 hours the site was fully functional. But I have to admit: this is an uncomfortable!

    In addition, Norton DNS do not delay anything my internet, I don't know if the ClearCloud delay, but anyway I prefer to stick with reliable, safe and fast: Norton DNS.

    I had a lot of false positives with Norton DNS. The ones I had with ClearCloud were fixed in less than 24h.

    So, it's better to have Norton DNS, which will also be prone to FPs, and there's no communicate them from the blocked page?

    Which one in more uncomfortable? I'd say Norton DNS.

    Agreed. I think ExtremeGamerBR simply trusts Norton (Symantec) more, thus making him feel more comfortable.

    DynDns/Barracuda which I use recently added a feature allowing to bypass a block. I have had very few to zero FPs during many months but still neat. Or is it? For me it is but some problems are obvious. Not much child/family protection with this now ;) 75 secs timer/wait won't scare that many. I don't see how this can be controlled. There is nothing about this beta feature in control panel for my free account. Have not checked their forum for info either. Not even sure if everyone will see it if they sign up. About the FPs it helps a whole lot if SPAM is not ticked. I have the feeling many blocks are not FPs at all but seems/feel like it. Many domains might get tainted from various activities not directly related to site in question. I turned it off. Not a major problem but definitely "some" weird blocks due to spam category. Get annoying very fast. However, I would be careful calling them FPs without more info on each block. So much hidden or partly hidden crap around is my conclusion. So many site admins don't research what they sign up for, don't know all about hosting.

    Well I downloaded the Windows Utility and installed ClearCloud. How can I check to see if it's working right? It says "enabled".

    Here are 2 pages that you can use to verify that ClearCloud is working:

    ClearCloud block page --> http://test.ssdsandbox.net/

    Test page --> http://clearcloudtest.ssdsandbox.net/
    You should see the ClearCloud logo on this page.
