    Hi,

As it seems to be a business suicide to launch a new antivirus on the market, i hope this post would help the team (France, Tunisia, India) in making their AV more popular.
Currently in beta, and free to use (use translation, i've not found the english pages): http://www.fsb-antivirus.com/

For a downlaod, click on "telechargement".
A test has been published here in french:
    http://sites.google.com/site/testovirus/fsb-antivirus

There's certainly a lot of work before the first release, but if i consider a mail exchanged last year with one of the main developer, FSB antivirus is promising, and is not expected to be just another scanner.

    Rgds

It hasn't been updated since 06/02/2010...:( I tried it during my test and at that time it couldn't update signatures and only scans based on heuristics. Surprisingly the heuristics is powerful enough to detect many threats.

I am one of the guys behind this project. ;-)

Actually, 0.8 will come very soon - it will bring an updater and many improvements and so on.

So it is still actively being developed.

It does not have realtime protection - and will not get yet ;-)

Right now it is only an on-demand scanner, but when when build 0.8 is out, we would like people to test in and report errors and false positives. :)

I may get an update on 0.8 later tonight.
