    You're well protected without Immunet!

I was thinking about giving Bufferzone a try. I looked at AppGuard, but think I'd prefer Prevx over that.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

    Hello! :)

I am currently running the Comodo Internet Security suite. I'm having two problems with the antivirus randomly using 50% of the CPU for 5 to 10 minutes, and the Sandbox not remembering what to exclude. That aside it's running great. I've been using Avast! 6 and Panda Cloud Antivirus for the past few months. Avast! 6 I'm sure I will return to, Panda Cloud Antivirus seems a bit buggy and incomplete still.

Avast 6 IS with admuncher is my solution now. This cover it all, nothing more needed. The best suite I've ever tried.

Giving Vipre AV a spin along with Online Armor Premium for the weekend. I must say Vipre runs very light and seems like a top notch choice. Nothing wrong with Avira Suite which is also a trial as noted in my Sig below. Decisions - decisions - decisions...  :D

I am feeling so sorry for all the people crippling their own lives by using overdone layered security setups.

I am still very happy with the best setup I have ever encountered: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with ESET Smart Security; using an Administrator account and all settings on default, except for a few small tweaks (DEP, SEHOP and UAC). The only possible changes which might happen in the coming year are: using ESET Smart Security 5 Beta on my main pc and enabling a DNS service on my Linksys WRT54G2 router, the most likely candidate is ClearCloud DNS.

    small is beautiful, i think.

dont forget that for some people this security stuff is kinda like a hobby.
and some people even become IT or tech specialists eventually.

i am sure there are other reasons as well...

    just Sandboxie for browsing.
i scan untrusted download with MBAM and do a full system scan with MBAM and Hitman once every month or so.
i guess you could count Windows 7 Firewall Control Free as a real time app but i don't use it for security reasons. ;)

    • TP-Link TL-WR941ND (SPI Firewall)
      • Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium 64 Bits:
        • Windows Firewall: Enabled
        • Windows Defender: Disabled
        • Administrator Account
        • Data Execution Prevention
        • User Account Control:
          • Default Level
        • Structured Exception Handling Overwrite Protection
        • Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit 2.0.3:
          • All Internet Softwares
          • Maximum Settings
        • USB and DVD Drives Autorun: Disabled
        • ClearCloud DNS (Block Malicious website)
        • MVPS Hosts (Block Banners)
        • Windows Internet Explorer 8:
          • Drive-by Protection via 1806 Trick
          • Protect Mode

    • Backup & Restore:
      • Marium Reflect 4.2:
        • Only System Image
      • Microsoft SyncToy 2.1:
        • Daily Synchronization
      • Keriver 1-Click Restore Free 2.1
        • Snapshots Weekly

    • On-Demand:
      • Hitman Pro 3.5.119
        • Daily Scans

    • Definitely my best security configuration, does not weigh anything in my system, is fast and strong, if the Hitman Pro detects something just restore the image or snapshot (With Macrium Reflect or Keriver 1-Click Restore) and poof, everything new again.

    that's the problem.
i find that friends and family don't want to learn anything about security products.
some of them even installed fake rogue AV because they don't even know what
a warning from their own paid for AV looks like.
