Trying out bufferzone pro and CIS.
One BSOD and waiting for another one.
This might be a short lived love affair.

Tried Buffer Zone. Avast! detected it as a PUP (potentially unwanted program) because of team viewer (which I do not trust anyways). After removing it from the MSI BZ installs perfectly. However BZ BSODs my computer every X number of reboots so it is gone for now. I assume it was because of a conflict with something I had running. Anyways my Windows 7 laptop died today because of SP1 updates failing my backup also didn't work :( so I made these changes:

    Windows 7 Ultimate (Now :D)
SRP - Enabled Default Deny only one non-system folder allowed.
AppLocker - Enabled to block scripts and certain files from running in the folder mentioned above. (Although it doesn't seem to have effect?)
    Spyshelter FREE - Replaced Zemana
Windows Backup - for imaging HDD
GPEDIT - Logon set to CTRL-ALT-DEL and doesn't remember names. Also hardened RDP as well as UAC.
UAC - Set to max + password
Windows Defender - Replacing MBAM for the most part. Scans pretty fast too.
EMET - Enabled on more programs including chrome and FireFox (Although ASLR seems to slow launching by 10+ seconds)

    Other:
    Kaspersky Boot-disk
    UBCD - For repair/DBAN
    Hot-Keys set to run CCleaner /auto /shutdown on CTRL-ALT-Z and shutdown with CTRL-ALT-A :D
Custom Clean up script and Belevdre for organizing files

Depends in part on what you are looking for. A pure firewall or one with HIPS. Three highly regarded firewalls at Wilders are Online Armor, Comodo and Private Firewall. All come with HIPS and all three are free.

    How about LnS,
Would u recommed it for non expert like me?
I'm on trial, and I love it.
specially the simple yet informative pop up on blocking outgoing traffic
But I'm not really sure on how to use it
The only setting I changed is : using advanced ruleset

I've used it for several years with the advanced ruleset and highly recommend it. It's on my laptop for general use so it's all I need. I run OA Premium on my other contraption/box/computer for work and heavier lifting and also recommend it...:D
