In my case it refers to the newly released version/agent 3.0.13, I do not get to the page that asks for "email/activation", on reboot I get the popup asking for "integer number".
    Thanks for responding
    Cheers

Great little program now; has made great strides very quickly.

Even average users would be happy with this version.

    Hi Eirik,

    Great release!

Do you plan on supporting XP64?

    Thanks.

Tony considering the market share of XP 64 and the fact that its successor (Vista) is send to OS-retirement heaven also, I would not think it is likely a company would spend resources and money on this.

It is the punishment of the early adoptors.

It's difficult to make a broad statement. EMET alters the behavior of a process, such as if an apps developers failed to use certain compile flags EMET tries to make it such they did. To me, this means potentially unforeseeable consequences.

In limited tests, AppGuard was seen to block code injections into IE. However, this did not seem to impair either IE or EMET.

One can regard using both AppGuard and EMET in two ways. More pragmatically, the added potential complications of EMET are not worth the gain. AppGuard assumes an App process has already been compromised, which is why they are guarded. The higher risk aversion perspective... EMET helps prevent the initial compromise of an App. Theoretically, even a guarded, compromised App could still do harm, a very low probability, which is why one could argue the pragmatic perspective.

The most likely harm a guarded, compromised App could do would be info theft, which is why we created privacy mode. There's room for usability improvement with this feature. I hope more folk will use it more such that we ultimately learn usability improvements.

    Cheers

I thought as much , but was hoping otherwise. I use XP64 as my VMWare host OS, due to its low overhead & high memory capabilities.

    Thanks for the response.

What about Rollback Rx?Can installing AppGuard with Rollback Rx on be counterproductive?

No. When uninstalling Instatnt Restore apps, I usually will disable MBR, reboot, then uninstall the Instant Restore app. It may not be needed to disable MBR but that's the way I've done it in the past with no problems.

Appguard does support Vista and Windows x64. Tony really was an innovator to use (as one of the first) an x64 OS on WIndows (being XP x64). The rest of us leaned back, most jumped on teh x64 wagon with the release of Windows7. Compared to the early adopters (Vista x64) and early majority (windows 7 x64). On XP 99,99% were using the 32 bits version.

    Sorry to confuse you

I'm guessing that the change of license code system is what is responsible for the massive improvement in boot times on my system. The tray icon now loads almost immediately whereas before it used to take ages. Whatever the reason, the new version is very slick in operation and much better than the previous version. I particularly like the flexible customisation features, especially in relation to MemoryGuard and management of alerts. :thumb: :)

Same here. I just want to add that the two issues I've had for a long time are now fixed. I was always under the impression that it was my personal setup that caused them and I would just have to make the best of it with the workarounds/configs I used. Thankfully, I was wrong again.

    Question:
I had to uncheck outlook and firefox in appguard in order to be able to click links in outlook. If I do not do this then there seems to be an issue with my sandboxed (sandboxie) browser opening the link. Am I doing the right thing by unchecking Outlook and Firefox in appguard?

Hello everybody, I installed AppGuard 3 on a netbook running XP Home, Avast, Prevx safe online, ZoneAlarm firewall free, ClearCloud, Eaz-Fix and AppGuard 1. First I uninstalled AG1 and then installed AG3 but all protection was turned off and couldn't be turned on also I was never asked for my activation code. Only when I insalled AG3 on top of AG1 did everything go smoothly. I am very impressed by this new release. However there is one problem. When I want to shut down the computer I am not able to do so, it just sits there with the message "Windows is shutting down" and I finally have to force a shut down. Only after I disable MBR guard will the nettop shut down normally. I am pretty sure that Eaz-Fix is interfering because on my other two computers without Eaz-Fix everything runs normally. I would like to keep MBR guard activated of course. Does anybody here have any suggestions?
