Will the results be made public at some point?

When will this feature be implemented?

No. There are one or two complaints on the official support forum, so maybe they'll change it in a future release.

I'm interested in the results as well :)

My guess is that Pbust might publish the results on the Panda Cloud Blog at some point. Hopefully ASAP.

If they were going to make it public they would've done so from the beginning or the weeks after the test. One can only ask why they choose not to publish it; is it due to poor performance or some other reason?

In that case I will wait for that option to be available in some future releases before I use Panda.
Not that I don't trust Panda , it's like that for any other vendor, I just don't like the idea of some product deleting files from my system without my approval.
Yes, I know I can recover it from Quarantine , but that doesn't change much for me.
Small pop-up window with information that virus is detected with the question "Do you wish to delete it or not" wouldn't hurt.
Bonus would be to have a checkbox in the same window to exclude detected file from future detections.

Keep up the good work :thumb:

Known issue. To disable Computer Vaccination simply delete the key @="@SYS: DoesNotExist" from the following registry key:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\Autorun.inf]

@jmc777, @SweX and @shadek, results cannot be published, has nothing to do with the results. I can tell you that results are similar than with standard Panda Antivirus Pro 2011.

Re: banner, it's there to stay. We need a way to communicate things to the userbase, such as availability of new betas, etc. I don't see a problem with it as long as its not abused.

    Thank you.

But is the Panda Cloud results better or worse than PAP 2011? ;)

The banner could disappear after some time.

For example, the actual banner says: "join the panda cloud antivirus support community!". Well, I already did that.

After some time (5 days is reasonable) the banner should disappear, until another communication is needed.

Yes that was our ideal design idea, but couldn't get the interface to be dynamic for this version. Maybe for next version.

    Thanks for the reply.

Given that it does work correctly in Panda USB Vaccine, is this something that will be fixed in a future release of PCAV?

I certainly do, i did not pay to have to look at a hideous oversized banner, it really needs to go away or at least an option to disable it for pro users should be available.

It was the main reason i purchased a license and now i'm stuck with a thoroughly unwanted "commercial". Please reverse this strange decision to annoy paying customers. :)

I would hardly call the information presented as "unwanted commercial" information... It's a link to make it easier for users to get technical support. You can argue that you like the visuals of it more or less, but its definately not "commercial" nor "advertising".

Anyhow, point taken on not showing it to PRO users, we will evaluate it for future versions.

Maybe in the Pro version you can go to Settings and there must be a box that says

Show Support Forum Banner off/on :)

    Just a suggestion

    open C:\ProgramData\Panda Security\Panda Cloud Antivirus\Upselling, then find Promo.mht.
take its ownership as administrator (see this), then edit its permissions (deny all users' access to this file).
    the banner is gone.

Thank you, all i want is an option to opt out from such info in the settings as i already know very well how to get support/find beta versions etc.

The "commercial" comment was just to get your attention. We're all different as users, for me this type of banners are annoying & hence why i asked for an option to opt out, not to remove this completely 'm sure some will find it usefull.

Last i'd like to thank you for making an AV exactly like many would want it = simple and effective with little to no effort from the user and light as well. :)

This program has vastly improved. It's detection is now outstanding, but it still has a big flaw. It uses GOBS of disk i/o.

I tried looking through the options, to see if there was something I could turn off to reduce its disk usage, but I didn't see anything.
