Is there any particular reason why the Norton Internet Security is so favorable for the purchase compare to Norton Antivirus 2011?

    Norton Antivirus 2011 1 year for 1 PC is 39.99 $
    Norton Antivirus 2011 1 year for 2 PCs is 79.98 $
Norton Antivirus 2011 1 year for 3 PCs is 119.97$

Norton Internet Security 1 year up to 3 PCs is 49.99$

There is no much sense about these prices for me, but to be honest, I do not know much about these things?

Is NIS you're looking at an OEM-license? It'd explain the odd difference in prices.

I forgot to mention that this is a special offer which I received through Norton Account. The regular price for NIS 2011 (up to 3 PCs) is 69.99$. But, still NIS 2011 for up to 3 PCs is almost twice cheaper than the NAV 2011 for 3 PCs?

You can usually do a lot better if you watch for good prices on Amazon.Com or other places. I'd never buy from Symantec, you're guaranteed the worst deal. I recently got NIS 2011 on Amazon for almost nothing.

Thanks for the advice, but shipping outside USA is expensive (and restricted for many countries), and downloadable items are available only to customers located in the United States.

P.S. Found some promotional codes for an additional 25% discount. :D

There are some top rated sellers on eBay offering NIS 2011 3-user for $25

If they're selling a sealed package, then there's no problem. Be sure not to buy off sellers who only delivers License Key via e-mail as those are illegaly created and will be blacklisted by Symantec eventually.

this is not common in norton since key dont work for more PC automatically..

this is more common in kaspersky where key blacklisting is common

I think not. I had my keys blacklisted this summer. I had bought the keys from 3 different top-rated sellers, thinking they were perfectly legit. In the period of 3-6 months, Symantec had blacklisted all three keys.

Forget ebay even with trusted sellers especially regarding the purchase of serial numbers/keys for software.

    Amazon have very competitive pricing

    NIS 2011 is $29.99, 1user/3pc

    NAV is $28.53, 1user/3pc

Can be trusted as its sold directly by amazon and not a 3rd party seller.

They have really low prices for most security software.

i never saw norton key being blacklisted unless there are totally out on net perhaps...

if you install it on ore PC it tells you " you have exceeded maximum usage for this license "

It seems fake - this is extremely cheap . As a Symantec partner I can tell you that there are no 180 days licences that are sold as shown in this page

Few weeks back I got Norton 360 v4 1yr/3pc for $19. Like kees said just keep an eye out at amazon. Good place to buy norton stuff and sometimes kaspersky.

That's a good deal. I also noticed, if you do a google search for Norton, then banner ads start showing up on certain sites. I got a 75% off on NAV, so it cost me $9.99 straight from Norton. I used a temporary credit card # so I would not have to worry about auto-renewal.

Also, I know Staples had a 3user license of 360 for $14.99 after easy rebate this week. Norton deals are pretty much ever week in the US.
