A buddy of mine has some type of infection to where he hears random tv commercials/ads and its coming from iexplore.exe. When he ends the process the tv ad stops, but then the process comes right back and continues to do it. I had him run full scans with MSE, MBAM, SAS and it found things, but did not remove what it is causing this. Any help would be appreciated!!!

You could tell your friend to try one of the avenues mentioned in this thread -http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=42148

Those forums specialize in malware cleaning.

Noob, I believe m00nbl00d was referring to the forums that are listed at the bottom of that post.

Better yet thegreatoutlaw, review If you are currently infected and seek focused & dedicated help in any of the forums listed there.

A bootkit infection was doing the same sorta thing a while back.

Could now relate to a rootkit so delete your temp internet files and try a scan with TDSSKiller.

Download and run a scan with each of the following:

    1. DrWeb Cureit.

    2. Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool 2010.

The Malware Signatures of both of the above are up-to-date at the time of download.
