Installed it on an XP system. It produced an error on the initial scan complaining of out of date signatures despite a full update only minutes earlier.

Tried to update again, but was informed that everything was current and up to date.
The problem corrected itself 24 hours later. after updating.

Tried creating a boot CD; Process halted with an IMAPI 2.x error. Requires KB9232716
update. Previous version did not require this.

Trying it right now, it seems lighter when compared with the 2011 version...

    One easy question . . . :D
Does the Antivirus has the BB? (Behavior Blocker) :)
    Just wondering.

Have you been able to do any scans after the initial one? My copy keeps complaining about the signatures being out of date. I find the .isdb files to be current, except for the wlcoll.isdb.isdb which dates back to 12/3/2010. Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it seems odd.

I like it a lot - I uninstalled Norton IS 2011 - experience faster system after logging in and it only will get better. I have question to GData Ed - I would like to stay with Gdata IS 2012 and to use discount coupon you are offering for wilderssecurity members - how to evade purchasing Gdata 2011 and go straight to 2012 ?

License are valid for all versions as long as it is in the timeframe (Ex. 3 year license will work with all versions during those 3 years, 2011 - 2012 - 2013)

Does anyone notice a difference in performance when the Advanced Monitor are changed ?- for example switching "Check read / write access" to "Read only access check" or "Execute only". I see little difference with the read only access feeling the fastest of the three settings.

Further, so far the present beta feels heavier than the 2011 version.

Regarding resource usage -I have same PC with W XP today as a year before and when last year I tried Gdata 2011 - I deinstalled it after couple of days - it was horribly slow and my system was hardly running. This time it seems Gdata is lighter than NIS 2011.

Same here. Running Windows 7 and it feels much lighter than the 2011 version.

Wait what...? We are only in the second month of 2011 and version 2012 is already available?

    Nice marketing ploy :)

They already stated in a previous post why they did this.
Since G-Data is a german company they release their next year version early so they can show it in the biggest computer expo in the world which is located in Germany :D

Usually (I used G-Data a lot at the beginning of last year, around 4 months) it takes a good 2-4 months (Depending on circumstances, but most of the time it takes long) for the english version to be updated.

BUT, now they have an USA HQ, so that may change
