ive had tinyme installed since last winter on a test hd.
my problem is it keeps hibernating my momitor every 10 minutes, annoying while watching a dvd movie!!!
what can i do to stop the monitor from hibernating, permanetly?
    thanks,

Hi Observence. Could we have a peek @ your xorg.conf, preferably btwn code tags.

Go inside your /etc/X11 directory and open the file with a text editor. Then merely copy'n paste - my quote for tag usage.
    Code:
    Section "ServerFlags"
        Option "StandbyTime" "0"
        Option "SuspendTime" "0"
        Option "OffTime" "4"
    EndSection
    ========================

As suspected, there's more to it. I'm pretty sure hibernation's controlled via hal, dbus and a few other items.

Check this thread and run a search before asking in the appropriate hw section - the right place to post.

Observence, I would absolutely take my second bit of advice and ask for assistance over on their forums. They know TinyMe.

Linking shouldn't be necessary Observence. That nothing was accomplished just tell'm you were directed to the friendly folks there.

i tried registering at pclinuxos but after clicking on the link they sent me i got nowhere so yesterday i started googling using DPMS as part of the search and found this:
first, make sure the screensaver is turned off (unchecked) then tap the F12 key (you can also use terminal) and type:
    xset s off -dpms
that turns off the hibernate feature but every time you bootup/reboot you must type that in again which i dont mind;-).
so as far as im concerend my problem with tinyme is solved;-D
    have a great day,
    O
