I'm considering purchasing it too since the deal is so good and the recent AV-C report for the product shows it has great detection capabilities. I would also be interested in knowing if G Data uses the latest engines available to both other companies.

Does anyone know how to completely reset the settings to the original ones? I've managed to hide virus detection alerts and can't get them back!

I remember that was a question lots of people made when Avast 5 was being released, though i'll have to say it's been quiet some time so i can't really answer it :D
Maybe Eddie can bring some answers :)

    Thanks for the discount.
Have been trialling IS for a few days but think the AV will do me - I like a lot of detailed FW logging and granularity and while the Gdata FW seems better than I thought it would be*, it doesn't look like it's for me.
But the AV is top notch.

*That may be cos I haven't teh settings just right.

Q: is there a way to see what rules I make for each app and service are?

The current 2012 beta version contains the Avast 5 engine and GData always uses the latest BitDefender engine.
    ( thanks to Ford Prefect ;) )

So the new 2012 release ( released March/April of this year) will have the latest engines.

The North American site, when you go to the Store, is meant for US and Canadian customers. :) :) Hence, it prompts you to purchase in either US dollars or Canadian dollars.

You will notice on the Digital River site that the billing information that is required is based on the US/Canadian address format, as opposed to the European address format.

yes, but it asks what country you are in? So, from the title i am assuming all other Wilders members are in the usa and canada? I emailed support but got a probably bounced failure notice 10 minutes later. I think the product is fantastic but there doesn't seem to be any support other than faq's for that reason I put norton back.
it doesnt un install very cleanly either, so i re imaged.
"Hence, it prompts you to purchase in either US dollars or Canadian dollars." as do all my benchmarking programs and 70% of all my games. The fact is I should not have been allowed to 1, purchase the software and 2, install it, This would not be fair to the UK site. On page 1 of this thread I posted "Maybe because im in uk? i tried it on uk site and offer code was not valid? will leave until tomorrow, just in case I already bought it twice!" yet no mention until now that it's for usa only?
Really must learn that the entire civilized world doesn't compromise of USA and Canada (no matter what americans think) ;)

Good question. I am pretty sure Wilders requires deals like this to be open to all, not just members here. One more reason they have my respect.

Of course on the flip side, this offer comes from G-Datas US site as a opening up present.
