I don't know about 'must have' but at the moment I am using: Adblock Plus for Google Chrome™ (Beta) - Version: 1.0.24 Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer (by Google) - Version: 3 Ghostery - Version: 2.2.0 Google Dictionary (by Google) - Version: 2.0.1 Google Mail Checker - Version: 3.1 RSS Subscription Extension (by Google) - Version: 2.1.2 Secbrowsing - plugin version checker - Version: 1.7 The Guardian - Version: 1.6.1 TinEye Reverse Image Search - Version: 1.1 Ultimate Chrome Flag - Version: 0.3.7 WOT - Version: 1.0.4 (although it can vary somewhat)
Well, those are the extensions on my smaller laptop. I have Chrome on two other computers & on a flashdrive. Although I tend to use more or less the same extensions. At least I always have Adblock, WOT, Ghostery, Dictionary, GMail & Ultimate Flag. I have been known to use IE Tab & sometimes IE Tab Classic. I may remove IE Tab from my desktop computer. I'll give you a tip with extensions in Chrome, you can drag & drop the extensions 'jigsaw' icon from the 'Recently Closed' section at the bottom of the browser to the toolbar like a favicon. You can do it with others like 'Downloads' 'History' etc. Since Chrome insist on the insipid 'grey' GUI colour I also regularly use themes.
Those who use the dev or canary version may notice that the context menu of "open frame in new tab" has been removed. To restore it, there's this extension: Open frame in new tab --- https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kdhjgkkaacdhdioocfbpmhjidbinfajj The reason, if we can call it that, for removing it in the first place can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=33074
How about speaking to your browser? Would it understand Worcs, Black Country, Geordie or Scouse I wonder?
Anyone have the words to Prof. Higgins rant about, "Why can't the English learn to speak" or thereabouts? Edit: Is this a copyright violation? ... Hear them down in Soho square, Dropping "h's" everywhere. Speaking English anyway they like. ... Hear a Yorkshireman, or worse, Hear a Cornishman converse, I'd rather hear a choir singing flat. And more But people will still blame Google, won't they?
Maybe it has become really unfashionable now that it is cool to speak in regional accents now in the British media. Anyway ... I can't understand anyone south of the Watford Gap. I can't embed this link due to gremlins
Now that the context menu on right-click has been made available, expect some goodies. Here's one: Access your Google Chrome bookmarks from the right-click context menu It could free up the space hogged by the horizontal bookmark bar. Currently, it opens the bookmark in the same tab but the author may provide an option for opening in a background tab as well. Before someone jumps all over me, FWIW, now = August 2010
Not sure to what extent your looking for but this makes selecting your books very easy - https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/nnancliccjabjjmipbpjkfbijifaainp?hl=en Also, "Smooth Scroll" was recently updated - https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/cccpiddacjljmfbbgeimpelpndgpoknn?hl=en and all i can say is "smooooooth" man
That's why I use this little extension: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/aeoigbhkilbllfomkmmilbfochhlgdmh Access to all Chrome's "stuff" from one simple icon.
It's good for those migrating from another browser. Plus it also has the option to prevent accidental closure of multiple tabs.
