I was wondering why I could not see the statistics section on avast and it just says I need to install Adobe flash player. I already have installed but still the same thing it says.

Any recommended settings for Avast Free?

How bout the web shield? I put the sensitivity into high...the default is normal.

Or is it more better to put everything all sensitivity into high for a more secured pc?

Also, how bout the 2 arrows below...should I check this or better to leave it alone coz it may only adds more cpu runs?

You have installed the Plugin version of Flash(Firefox, Opera etc.) Avast needs the ActiveX version(Internet Explorer)
If the computer is not used by the average Joe who doesn't know what when a detection is a false positive then high sensitivity is great for more security. I wouldn't put the file shield on high for when it makes FP of important files, but the other shields would be a good idea. I have PUP detection on for all shields and don't notice a difference. You can try test whole files for the web shield, and see whether the difference is noticeable for you.

I'm just curious as to why my post about the Avast update was removed. I see that chabbo posted also, but I pretty certain his wasn't there when I posted. If it was, I apologize. But mods could have said "already posted by chabbo", or something to that affect, instead of just deleting it. End of rant.

The avast statistics now works after I installed the adobe reader with active x. I thought only the flash player should be installed. Tnx..;)
