Doesn't really surprise because I use F-Secure on hundreds of machines at work. It is good to see that AVC is rewarding improvement from previous years. I like that idea. Great job F-Secure! :thumb:

    Congratulations F-Secure, very well done!

Patrik Runald, formerly at F-Secure, if you read this, you were right in your posts about F-Secure during 2009, the app was an upcoming winner!

    Regards,
    Joakim

Every product will have it's up's and downs, competition ensures this.

    Thanks for info.
I don't believe it's the beginning of downfall for Norton. I completely agree with elapsed on his statement.
    Congrats to F-Secure, indeed :)

    Cheers

What makes you say that? All tests gave it Advanced +, except for the Retrospective Test from February, which was given an Advanced score. In the same test, in August, it got an Advanced +.

    Maybe I missed something o_O

Glad to see Norton lose! Wish F-Secure had a free version. Also impressed Avira got Adv+ for every test.

Personally, I noticed (in recent reports) that the Proactive test receives less importance than the Reactive test, and in turn, it receives less importance than the dynamic test.

I was wondering: why didnt include three awards gold, silver and bronze for the Best Product of the Year ?
"Several products got many high awards and are very close"

Maybe they should re-write a completely new engine to put together the multiple engines it uses.
This would give better performance and less RAM usage.

Does F-Secure have their own Anti-Malware engine or do they use another vendor's engine?

    Thanks in Advance.

You quote the answer - perhaps it was difficult for them to rate them all with Gold , Silver and Bronze
