Nice find! I'm glad to hear this. Immunet deserves this. They've been working really hard and will get some economic muscles behind them now.

 

Well would like to give a lot of info but seriously, everything is a mess for the moment!

 

Hopefully that economic muscle allows Immunet to fix their licensing issues. I (and many others) have a few licenses for IP that are worthless.

The first acquisition out of the many we'll witness during the course this year. Great move by the way. Immunet has an unlimited potential at the moment, now they got a solid financial backup.

EDIT: While reading the article linked by the OP, I couldn't find any info as to whether Immunet will continue offering, supporting and developing the free version.

Most likely. They've had a lot to do with each other in the past in addition to this deal.

 

Well, they've aways been "merged" as they were both the same exact product but for the UI. Only lately have they hinted at separate development paths. I believe this announcement means there'll be only CAV4W. Thankfully this will eliminate the nightmare one could foresee... Which is better, Immunet or ClamAV for Windows?

BTW, raise your hand if you didn't see this coming.

FYI: Immunet blew away the competition in MRG's just released PUA test.

Well I would say no. Anything will mostly stay as it is so far I know. All employees in Immunet will stay and working just like know but with some more money to spend
