    Happy New Year everyone! i haven't posted on here for a long time..here it goes:

    Avira AntiVir Premium
    Spybot Search&Destroy
    Windows 7 Firewall Controll (with Windows Firewall still enabled)
    Windows Defender is totally disabled
    SuperAntiSpyware and Dr.Web CureIt on demand scanners

    I run Windows 7 Ultimate.
    I recommend the same set-up to all my clients giving them the option to choose the free version of the antivirus, all the other apps are freeware so they can get what imo is top notch security for free.

    SS premium is 64 bit ready and the license is for lifetime from what I read from their site.

    I'd love to use geswall but it doesn't play well with Sr Iron. :( Maybe when 3.0 comes out.

    Since you're looking for this sort of isolation apps, have you given Sandboxie a try before?

    Yeah I've tried it all. I switch things around and have tried different combo's. I'm just not as vocal about it as some people are. :p

    I might find my way back to sandboxie or geswall. Comodo is getting rather good these days. I like geswall policy restriction though. Very tight.

    Now I'm trialling ShadowDefender and Eset Antivirus.

    Setup:
    Windows XP Professional (no autorun, all updates)
    DefenseWall Personal Firewall, Eset Antivirus, ShadowDefender on-demand, Windows Firewall, Mbam on-demand.
    Acronis True Image 2010 Home.

    • Linksys WRT54G2 router built-in firewall
    • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit built-in firewall
      Using Administrator account; DEP and SEHOP are enabled for all processes and programs; UAC is on always notify; Windows Defender is disabled; using Internet Explorer 9 beta
    • ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2
    • Hitman Pro 3.5
      both licenses end on the 12th of january
    It might be possible the Windows firewall will be replaced, depending on what I do when my current ESET NOD32 Antivirus ends, there are three possibilies:
    1. continuing current setup;
    2. replacing ESET NOD32 Antivirus by a free antivirus;
    3. upgrading to ESET Smart Security.

    I also seems the most interesting option to me, at this moment. But I am not sure, Antispam is of absolutely no value to me. Also I am perfectly happy with Windows firewall.
    Since ESET 5 is on the horizon it might change then. That is why I asked several times on the ESET forums about the future changes to the featureset of both products, it is a shame that they don't want to disclose any information about ESET 5. If they did, option 2 (replacing ESET NOD32 Antivirus by a free antivirus) wouldn't exist. The only thing we known which will be included in ESET 5 is Parental Control, which is just like Antispam of no value to me.

    Yes, I my self have stopped asking questions about version 5.0 since I know what the answer will be;) Even though I agree with you that more info from ESET would really be nice.

    I personally haven't heard anything official that Parental Control will be included for sure? What's your source?
    But I got a feeling that we will see something more included apart from Parental Control.
