    I just updated from NOD32 v3 to 4.2.67.10

I have an unusual problem that has occurred with the new version of NOD32
    In Thunderbird I use POP
with the Server Settings to Fetch Headers Only

So when I double-click to open a message, it throws up this screen

    Not Downloaded
Only the headers for this message were downloaded from the mail server.
Click here to download the rest of the message.

    Which is fine
So I click on the here
    and it loads the message

    BUT in 4.2.67.10
It doesnt display the message when I click on the here
I have to close that tab, which takes me back to the Inbox and I have to double-click to open the message again to read it

In version 3 of NOD32 it displayed the message OK without the extra steps of having to close the tab and then having to double-click to open the message again to read it

    Any ideas ?
    Thanks in Advance

What happens if you disable integration of Thunderbird? POP3 mail still get scanned if you do so.

You can do this in the Advanced Menu (F5) under "E-mail client integration".

    Hi Brambb

Yes - I tried your suggestion to remove the Thunderbird email client integration and it works OK (like it did before in Version 3) :)

Is it OK from a security point of view to do this ?
Are the emails still being scanned properly ?

    Thanks

Yes if you receive mail using POP it will still be scanned internally by another module, so your fine in a security point of view.

To my knowledge you lose features such as tagging the e-mail (".. this mail is scanned by ESET ..") and Anti-spam if you would be using ESS.

But this is a bug and ESET should pick this up to resolve this, I cant test this to replicate it since I don't own/use any POP accounts anymore.
