I would like to capture my Skype audio/visual settings and email them to a friend living in the Philippines. Can I do this with SnagIt7. I know that I can use SnagIt7 in I believe Word and Excel but I can't seem to use it in other programs. Am I mistaken? If so, how would I go about capturing items in other installed programs I have? And, if I can't with Snagit7 could you recommend a capture program that would allow me to do this. I tried to post this in the Snagit forum but was unable to. As always I appreciate all replies and would thank you in advance.

You should be able capture anything you see on screen with Snagit (any windows region etc.). Or you can share your screen in Skype so that your friend can view how you set it up. Or simply use print screen and the save the image in Word and send it

Cudni, thank you so much for your reply. Are you saying that if I am in Skype and looking at my audio/visual settings that I can capture them? If so, how would I access SnagIt7 to do so? The only programs that I see that give me an option to use SnagIt7 is IE8, Word, and Excel. And, I have never been able to get my Print Screen key to work. I am sorry for being so confused. Thanks

I don't have Snagit to guide you but I suspect you start Snagit and select whatever you want to capture (maybe there is a wizard to guide you)? As for PrintScreen, you click on it, open Word and click paste

Cudni, I am so sorry to have bothered you and any other of our members with such a question. I finally found where on my computer SnagIt 7 was installed. I had looked several times for SnagIt7 before finding it under TechSmith. Bottom line is I created a desktop shortcut and now that I can access the program everything is working fine. Please accept my apologies for being so dense. Now that you explained how to use the Print Screen I am sure that it will work also. Believe me I don't know what I would do without this Forum and its members. Again, thank you very much.

Just a tip, check out CapturewizPro. Highly recommendable IMO.
